BetMGM UFC 300 Insight: Charles Oliveira, Alex Pereira Seeing a Lot of Action

UFC 300 is slated to be one of the biggest sports betting events on the 2024 calendar, and the odds movement leading up to Saturday night is reflecting that. None of the high-profile fights have swung odds drastically to make the opening favorite now an underdog, but there is still a lot of shifting in the odds that is worth noting. Let’s go over BetMGM’s UFC 300 betting insight and see where the biggest shakers are.

BetMGM UFC 300 Betting Insight: UFC Odds Movement

Charles Oliveira is one of the most popular bets on the UFC 300 leading up to Saturday night, and yet his odds have not moved all that much. Oliveira opened as a +175 underdog against Arman Tsarukyan, but despite taking 77% of the bets for that fight, he is only getting 51% of the handle. The money for that one is pretty even, so Oliveira remains well into plus money at +165. The most bet prop on BetMGM so far is Oliveira to win by KO/TKO or DQ, which has +700 odds.

Another interesting note is the amount of love Cody Brundage is getting as the card’s biggest underdog as he faces upstart Bo Nickal. Brundage opened at +1050 and Nickal -2500, so obviously Brundage is commanding all the money — 94% of bets and 84% of handle. But his odds have only come down slightly, and Brundage is still the No. 1 dog for UFC 300 at +950.

The second-largest underdog on the card, Yan Xiaonan, is also seeing a huge chunk of the action: 74% of bets and 76% of the handle. However, her odds have actually gotten longer for her fight against Zhang Weili, opening at +290 but now up to +380. Max Holloway, meanwhile, is seeing a smaller share of bets and handle (52% and 55%) yet his odds have dropped from +200 to +135 for his fight against Justin Gaethje.

As for the Main Event, things are getting tighter. Alex Pereira opened as a -165 favorite, and he is getting the slight edge in bet percentage at 53%. Pereira is also the second-most bet prop at +100 to win by KO/TKO or DQ. However, with Jamahal Hill taking 58% of the money, Pereira has dropped from -165 to -135 and Hill is now at +110. This fight is getting closer to even money as we approach the bell.

The top 5 for most bet props rounds out with Brundage +2000 to win by KO/TKO or DQ, with Holloway at +650 and Zhang at +125 to win the same way.
