Top 5 FanDuel NBA DFS Picks Today

5. James Wiseman, Detroit Pistons

At a salary of $5,700, Wiseman is projected for 31 points, a goal of 36.5, and he is in the optimal lineup 20% of the time. Wiseman has a lot of upside, as he and Jalen Duren played together for 16 minutes yesterday. Assuming they can play 10-plus minutes together again, Wiseman’s potential could skyrocket. The Pistons are underdogs against Brooklyn, but without Marvin Bagley, the centers for the Pistons should not be overlooked. Wiseman projects for 28 minutes and averages 1.1 fantasy points per minute, making him a double-double candidate, with 16 points and 10 boards and perhaps an assist or a stock.

4. Jordan Nwora, Indiana Pacers

Projected for 29 points and a goal of 36, Nwora is in the optimal lineup 23% of the time. With Tyrese Halliburton, Chris Duarte and possibly Myles Turner out, Nwora is playing a lot of minutes. He is a small forward and power forward and is expected to play 31 minutes. Nwora averages 0.9 fantasy points per minute and projects for15.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and a stock. Although it is a pace-down spot against the Knicks, it may be more competitive due to the questionable tag on R.J. Barrett and no Julius Randle.

3. Kyrie Irving, Dallas Mavericks

Irving is projected for 47 fantasy points and has a goal of 53, and he is in the optimal lineup 24% of the time. He and Luka Doncic are playing massive minutes, and with the offense not being a problem, Irving is averaging 1.2 fantasy points per minute. Additionally, he’s facing the Sacramento Kings, who have one of the worst defenses in the league, making this a favorable offensive matchup. Irving is expected to score 27 points, grab 6.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds and two stocks. His price and multiple positions work well with his projections, and given the favorable matchup, he should be one of the better options.

2. Bennedict Mathurin, Indiana Pacers

Mathurin is projected for 33 fantasy points and is in the optimal lineup 30% of the time. With no Tyrese Halliburton around, Mathurin becomes the big usage guy and is close to a fantasy point per minute, even in a pace down spot against the Knicks. Projecting for 23 points, five boards, two assists and a stock, he’s expected to meet the 36.5 fantasy points goal about a third of the time, making him a strong option at shooting guard or small forward. His price and position make him stand out from the pack, and given his scoring potential, he’s likely to perform well in this matchup.

1. Johnny Davis, Washington Wizards

At just $4,200, Davis is projected for 25 fantasy points and has a goal of 29 points. He is in the optimal lineup 34% of the time, making him a good value play. Davis played well in his last game, scoring 42 points. He is expected to play 30 minutes and averages 0.85 fantasy points per minute. Although the matchup against Atlanta is a pace-up spot, its defense is not great and will be missing some players. Davis is projected to score 14 points, grab five rebounds, dish out two assists and get one stock, making him an excellent value pick for a low-salary player.
