5. Taurean Prince, Minnesota Timberwolves

With Rudy Gobert suspended and Jalen McDaniels out with a broken hand, there are plenty of minutes to go around. Prince is small forward and power forward eligible, priced at $4,700, and projected for 22 points and a goal of 25. He is in the optimal lineup 41% of the time. Prince projects for 32 minutes, with the potential for a few more. He averages around 0.7 fantasy points per minute, providing 12 points, 4.5 rebounds, an assist and a half, and a stock. This is a pace-up spot against the Lakers, where Minnesota is a massive underdog. Prince’s cheap price is a steal for the role he’ll play in this game.

4. Max Strus, Miami Heat

Strus has eligibility as a shooting guard and small forward and is priced at $4,800. He is projected for 20 points, with the goal being 26. He is in the optimal lineup 41% of the time. With a projection of 28 minutes, there is some upside potential for Strus, who projects for 12 points on 17% usage, 3.5 rebounds, two assists and maybe a stock. Additionally, it is a pace-up spot against the Atlanta Hawks, and the Heat are favored by 5 points. However, there is some uncertainty about his minutes, as they could fluctuate depending on who else is on the court. So while there is risk involved, he could be a valuable addition.

3. Kyle Anderson, Minnesota Timberwolves

Anderson is projected to score 32 fantasy points and is in the optimal lineup 42% of the time, making him a great FanDuel NBA DFS pick at small forward or power forward. At a price of $6,500, he has small forward and power forward eligibility, which is a great advantage. He is projected to play 36 minutes, which is stable, but he is also a live option for more minutes in the playoffs. Anderson projects for 0.9 fantasy points per minute, 10.7 points, seven boards, five assists and 2.5 stocks, meaning he does a little bit of everything. He may not score as much as one would like, but when he does, he is a great pick.

2. Mike Conley, Minnesota Timberwolves

Conley has a projection of 32.5 fantasy points, and he is in the optimal lineup 43% of the time. With increased minutes now that the playoffs have begun, Conley is projected to get 34 minutes and around 0.9 fantasy points per minute. He has a usage rate of 18% and projects for 14 points, six assists, 3.5 rebounds and a stock and a half. The losses of McDaniels and Gobert mean that there are more minutes to go around for Conley, and he is a good value play at only $6,100. The Timberwolves have some wiggle room, but if they are going to win, they will need players like Conley to step up.

Towns has both power forward and center eligibility at $9,000. He is projected for 48 points and has a goal of 47, putting him in the optimal lineup 46% of the time. Towns is expected to play 36 to 37 minutes with a rate of 1.3 fantasy points per minute. His usage rate is 29%, and he projects for 25 points, 12 boards, four assists and maybe a steal or a block. While the matchup against the Lakers is solid, at least from an offensive perspective, the Timberwolves need Towns to play big minutes if they want to win. He is priced lower than he should be, considering that he needs other high-scoring players alongside him. His power forward eligibility opens up opportunities to build a solid lineup.
