NASCAR DFS Picks: Top Drivers for the Wurth 400 at Dover (2024)

The NASCAR Cup Series heads to the northeaster for this weekend’s Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway. The Brothers Truex swept the Xfinity and Cup Series races last year, and Ryan Truex has already secured the repeat. Can his big brother run it back? Let’s begin with our top NASCAR DFS picks for the 2024 Wurth 400 at Dover, including Tyler Reddick.

Christopher Bell | Wurth 400 NASCAR DFS Picks | Dover

This article was written before our NASCAR DFS projections run. Check back on Sunday morning for Stokastic’s industry-leading NASCAR DFS projections, including our top drivers tool!

After a slip-up in qualifying, Christoper Bell ($10,500 at DraftKings) will have to start from the back in his No. 20 Toyota. He recorded the fifth-best 10-consecutive lap average in practice, so we know he has speed, and he barely bumped the wall with his bumper, so he shouldn’t have to go to a backup car.

Bell’s poor starting position will allow him to rack up plenty of position and pass differential points. He officially qualified in 33rd, so he’ll have to work his way through the field, but he should be able to pull it off. We took a similar approach last weekend when we backed Noah Gragson, and he delivered, climbing his way all the way up to a third-place finish.

While Bell doesn’t have the most impressive Cup Series resume at Dover, he won here twice in the Xfinity Series, including a dominant showing in 2018 in which he led 110 of the 200 laps. I don’t expect dominance from him this weekend, but a capable showing should easily pay off his $10,500 salary.

I also recommended getting some action on Bell on the sports betting market earlier this week — check out my NASCAR Wurth 400 betting predictions for more!

Tyler Reddick

After Bell, the driver I like the next most in NASCAR DFS this weekend is Tyler Reddick ($8,200 at DraftKings). He’ll start in fourth, so a crash would cost you some place differential points, but that also gives him a chance to put some dominator points on the board.

Reddick did not record a 10-consecutive lap average in practice. However, several of his Toyota teammates did. Denny Hamlin, Ty Gibbs, Martin Truex Jr. and Bell were second through fifth, respectively. I suspect Reddick will flash some similar speed on Sunday.

Dover hasn’t been a great track for Reddick previously, but it hasn’t been a bad one for him, either. He has a pair of top-10s, including a P7 in his lone Dover start with 23XI Racing, with three top-15s and four top-20s. Reddick will only cost you $8,200 this weekend, which is a great deal for a driver with his ceiling.
