DraftKings and FanDuel NHL Stacks of the Day for 4/4

Jake Hari

DraftKings and FanDuel NHL DFS picks and fantasy hockey advice today Tuesday 2/22/22

It’s a tiny 3-game NHL slate tonight, but we’ll still grind away with some stacks today, as there are a couple spots that we’re excited about. The theme for stacking today is that we’re going to try to play teams that have something to play for, which would be the Blues and the Ducks, who are both battling for the last couple playoff spots in the West. Keep up on news and injuries today as we could see some guys sit (for the Wild especially). Awesemo will give his take, and then I (Tommienation1) will follow up with some additional analysis.

STL1: Schwartz-Schenn-Tarasenko ($21,200 DK/$19,900 FD)

“The Blues have a 3.4 team total with a lot to play for at home tonight. They should ride their top line for a lot of even-strength time, as well as top power-play time.”

This Blues line (“A” points grade) will have arguably the best matchup of the night as they should see a loto f time against the Blackhawks’ depth. The Kampf line has been especially bad, as they are on pace for 15 High-Danger Chances Against per 60 minutes even if they see the top line, they should have a big advantage in that matchup. It’s a game the Blues need to win and a great matchup for their top line. Even at this increased price on DraftKings, you can make it work with them as your top stack in tournaments and differentiate elsewhere.

ANA3: Ritchie-Henrique-Kase ($12,600 DK/$13,200 FD)

“The Ducks’ third line could get in on the scoring tonight as their team has a 3 implied total against a Minnesota team that is banged up and may be resting some of their top forwards.”

The Henrique line has some of the best numbers on the slate tonight, posting over 32 Scoring Chances For per 60 minutes and 13.8 High-Danger Chances For per 60 minutes  at even-strength. The power-play correlation is not strong with this line, but they will get a delectable matchup against the Coyle-Cullen combo, which has allowed near 30 Scoring Chances Against per 60 minutes and 13.5 High-Danger Chances Against per 60 minutes. Many won’t go this deep for a stack with some of the bigger names, but the even-strength matchup is arguably the best on the night going by the numbers.
