NHL DFS Picks & Top Stacks | February 25
Top Stacks
San Jose Sharks Line 1 — Michael Eyssimont, Logan Couture, Alexander Barabanov
The San Jose Sharks’ top line is one of the best value options on the slate at only $13,100 to stack on DraftKings. They have a home matchup against the lowly Chicago Blackhawks, who are one of the worst defensive teams in the NHL. With an implied Vegas total of 3.6 goals, this is a great filler stack, but make sure you’re getting low-owned players with the rest of your lineup. This line will be popular in GPPs.
New Jersey Devils Line 2 — Jesper Bratt, Jack Hughes, Yegor Sharangovich
The New Jersey Devils’ second line is one of the strongest lines in the five-on-five (4.22 expected goals for per 60 minutes in a 90-minute sample) of the night, and it’s in a great spot at home against the Philadelphia Flyers. It’ll cost you only $17,400 on DraftKings.
Hughes and Bratt are both on the top power-play unit. You can even replace Sharangovich with Nico Hischier to load up on the Devils’ top power-play unit for a GPP lineup. With a 12% chance of being a top-two stack and with positive leverage, this line is a great option.

Defensemen
Brady Skjei (CAR): $4,700 at DraftKings
Skjei should play 22-23 minutes tonight and get top power-play unit duties once again for one of the best teams in the league. He has over five shot attempts per game in his last five contests, which demonstrates that he can get you a healthy amount of DraftKings points even without getting on the score sheet.
The Hurricanes have an implied goal total of 4.2 today, the highest on the main slate. Skjei is a useful add-on to a Hurricanes forward stack and has value as a one-off as well.
Dmitry Orlov (BOS): $2,500
Orlov is playing his first game since getting traded from the Washington Capitals to the Boston Bruins. He comes at the minimum salary on DraftKings and should skate on a pairing with Charlie McAvoy, so 20-plus minutes is within his range of outcomes.
There is some correlation with a Boston top-line stack if you’re trying to save some money with a defensemen. Right now, Orlov grades out as the top value at the position in Stokastic’s NHL DFS projections.
Goalie
Alexandar Georgiev (COL): $7,900
Georgiev plays for a home favorite that should see a lot of shot volume. His opponents, the Calgary Flames, have put up over 35 shots on goal per 60 minutes since Jan. 1, one of the highest marks in the NHL.
Georgiev himself has seen a lot of shot volume against other teams — he has recorded 30-plus saves in four of his last five starts. With only 2.9 expected goals against Georgiev tonight, he is a solid hockey DFS play at netminder for both cash games and GPPs.
