DraftKings and FanDuel Spotlight Hitters, Saturday 3/31

Josh Engleman

These spotlight hitter picks come directly from the lineups of the #1 player in DFS, Awesemo. Follow him on Twitter for more.

Yoan Moncada
FD: $3000 | Fpts: A | Value: A
DK: $3600 | Fpts: B | Value: A

Small sample issues aside, Moncada has been more successful from the left side of the plate in his MLB career. He’ll have multiple opportunities to improve on those stats by leading off for the White Sox against the hittable Ian Kennedy. He’s an excellent play on both sites.

Corey Seager
FD: $3500 | Fpts: A | Value: C
DK: $4200 | Fpts: B | Value: C

No need to worry about the L/L match-up, as Seager is still an elite hitter against southpaws, sporting a .286/.352/.465 slashline in his career. Couple that with the potential for extra plate appearances and a team total of 4.7 runs, and you’ll understand why Seager is a Spotlight play for Saturday night.

Chris Davis
FD: $2700 | Fpts: A | Value: A
DK: $3800 | Fpts: B | Value: A

This one writes itself. First, take a pitcher who has given up 44 homeruns over his past two seasons. Next, let Chris Davis hit lead-off where he has the potential to accumulate extra plate appearances. Finally, look up Chris Davis’ stats vs. LHP. To save you some time, we’ll provide some cliff notes. Davis has a .523 SLG% and .290 ISO in 1289 PAs vs. Lefties in the last 3 years. You can’t ask for a more advantageous match-up.
