MIL (vs. MIA)
Yup. More Brewers today. Soft pricing and a series with the Marlins gets you into the Spotlight Stacks for a few days. Christian Yelich is my favorite play from the Brew Crew (although Ryan Braun on FanDuel is a close second). Lorenzo Cain, Travis Shaw and Eric Thames round out a nice 5-man combo. If you need a second baseman, I have no issues with Jonathan Villar.
CHC (@ COL)
The Cubbies have the highest implied total and a match-up versus a lefty. They’re going to be popular, but that’s what happens when an elite hitting team gets a prime scenario. Albert Almora looks like the best combination of price and upside. Javier Baez, Kris Bryant and Willson Contreras all mash lefties. Ian Happ is projected to hit in the 6-hole, but he’s still viable in the stack. Lefty/lefty matchups aren’t normally the best option, but when it’s part of a stack, you could be getting someone that’s under-owned, which means grab some Anthony Rizzo.
SEA (@ TEX) **WEATHER ALERT**
There’s a decent chance this game doesn’t happen, so keep an eye on the weather in Texas. I have to mention the Mariners, though, as they’re coming up more on both sites than any other team. They have a monster implied total. Apparently the betting markets have little respect for the 600 year old Bartolo Colon. I would start my stack with Dee Gordon, Robinson Cano and Kyle Seager. After that, Jean Segura and Nelson Cruz would complete my favorite potential stack of the night. I just hope the game happens.
Awesemo’s Notes
Like Josh, the Mariners will be one of the highest owned stacks for me on both sites. Right now the weather model predicts rain but there’s nothing on the radar, so check the radar before lock. I’ll also update my rankings to account for weather concerns as they arise. I think the Cubs might be a bit overowned because they scored 16 runs yesterday while today they are up against an above average pitcher in low 40’s temperature, which is reflected in the total of 9.5 which is very low for Coors Field. Milwaukee I like more tonight than the Cubs because it’s still a great batter’s park and they are up against a below average pitcher.
