And just like that, we have a two-time winner. The same Stokastic user who took first in the first FanDuel MLB slate on Thursday brought it back with a $50,000 first place on DraftKings Saturday night. We’ve been telling you how Stokastic tools and data can do wonders for you, and hixx is proof. So we’re going to get into some MLB DFS lineup study and see how Stokastic data helped hixx get their DraftKings crown.

DraftKings MLB DFS Lineup Strategy: Hixx’s $50K Winning Lineup

Hixx went with the five-man stack of defending champs as his cornerstone — and while it’s a high-priced group, that helped it be moderately owned enough to keep hixx different. The Rangers in question were the usual suspects of Corey Seager, Josh Jung, Adolis Garcia and Marcus Semien, plus newcomer Jared Walsh. All of them churned out double-digit fantasy points, with the former Angel in Walsh leading the way at 28 and Garcia going deep to get to 23 — a solid stack all around.

The runback of Seiya Suzuki didn’t pan out, but luckily he didn’t pan out for 25.5% of the field, so at least it was bad chalk that many went to. Hixx’s other two one-offs were contrarian, and while Cal Raleigh didn’t offer much, Elehuris Montero walked three times to get to 13 points at just 2.8% ownership.

DraftKings is a two-pitcher site, and since the Rangers stack wasn’t too highly owned, hixx went chalk with his arms. Logan Gilbert and Jordan Hicks combined for 50 fantasy points to pay off the chalk — Hicks getting there at just $5,000.

Overall, this lineup worked because hixx ate the high salary of the powerful Rangers to allow himself to go with the field on his pitchers. This created the perfect combination of high-end production and low ownership through the lineup, and Stokastic’s tools and data — plus a bit of hixx’s intuition — helped make it happen.
