NBA DFS Picks: Building Blocks
Anthony Davis: Lakers vs. Pacers
Stokastic’s Fantasy Point Projections
DraftKings: 55.89 | FanDuel: 56.56
Stokastic’s Rostership Projections
DraftKings: 32.1% | FanDuel: 21.6%
DFS Salary
DraftKings: $10,400 | FanDuel: $11,400
Anthony Davis is always a polarizing topic in the DFS world, particularly after coming off an in-game injury. Even though The Brow has posted a pair of 50-plus-fantasy point performances since his early exit last Saturday against the Golden State Warriors, gamers are still feeling burned.
Over the last 10 games, Indiana has a 109.4 defensive efficiency rating, which is a top-8 mark during this timeframe.
Myles Turner and Pascal Siakam continue to get better together, but that is no reason to avoid Davis or LeBron James tonight. Los Angeles currently has a 1.5-game lead on the Warriors and a three-game lead over the Houston Rockets, which means the Lakers should make the postseason. However, they are just 3.5 games behind Phoenix, which is the first team outside the Play-In Tournament and three games behind Sacramento and Dallas. The hope in La La Land is that the dynamic duo can at least elevate the squad to a home game for the Play-In Tournament.
Los Angeles last played on Friday, and the team starts a six-game East Coast road trip on Tuesday in Milwaukee. In other words, expect Davis and James to both play tonight and look to capitalize on the 4-point advantage that the sportsbooks have assigned to them in this matchup. The dynamic duo commands so much of the usage, that both can have fantasy crushing performances at the same time.
Tyrese Haliburton was outstanding Friday night in San Francisco against the Warriors as he led Indiana to a 123-111 victory over Golden State. Most importantly, Haliburton played 38 minutes and recorded 26 points, two rebounds, 11 assists, four steals and three blocks. The latter two numbers are far from sticky or replicable, but the overall performance was his best DFS showing since the first week of January.
Indiana is fighting to stay above the Play-In Tournament cutoff, and the Pacers are working with a scant 1.5-game advantage over Miami and Philadelphia. Expect this team to be ready to rumble tonight, which should make for a fun one with a 241.0 projected game total.
Anthony Edwards: Timberwolves vs. Warriors
Stokastic’s Fantasy Point Projections
DraftKings: 46.55 | FanDuel: 45.22
Stokastic’s Rostership Projections
DraftKings: 17.6% | FanDuel: 15.6%
DFS Salary
DraftKings: $9,600 | FanDuel: $10,000
Anthony Edwards was able to lead the Timberwolves to a 104-91 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Minnesota on Friday despite dealing with a sprained middle finger on his left hand. Fortunately, he is predominantly right-handed, so if he is starting, we should consider him to be effective.
Rudy Gobert is also banged up and missed a few games with a rib injury. He did play 37 minutes on Friday after a 10-day absence, so he should be a go tonight.
Edwards had a string of five 50-plus-fantasy point performances snapped against the Cavs, so this is the perfect matchup to restart that trend. In the off chance he is out, Mike Conley, Jaden McDaniels and Nickeil Alexander-Walker will likely see a minutes bump. If Gobert is out, then Naz Reid and Kyle Anderson will get upgrades, though their salaries are already elevated due to the lengthy absence of the Stifle Tower as well as Karl-Anthony Towns being out.

NBA DFS Picks: Key Games
Oklahoma City Thunder at Milwaukee Bucks
This is a crucial game for both teams, as Oklahoma City is battling the Denver Nuggets for the best record in the Western Conference, while Milwaukee is hanging onto a two- and three-game cushion over Cleveland and the New York Knicks for the second-best record in the Eastern Conference.
Considering that the Bucks are 3-point home favorites, it would seem that both Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) and Khris Middleton (injury management) are expected to play. The Thunder have allowed just 109.9 points per 100 possessions over the last 10 games, which is stout defense. The Bucks have regressed a bit, and after improving under new coach Glenn Rivers, they have slipped back into some bad tendencies, allowing 119.7 points per 100 possessions, which is the third-worst defensive efficiency in this same timeframe.
Damian Lillard is always a tournament wild card, though the rest of the Bucks are differentiation plays at best outside of this trio. Things will shift if anyone misses this game, but that seems unlikely at this time.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has exceeded all expectations this season, and “rookie” Chet Holmgren has improved each month as well. Add in Jalen Williams and a resurgent Josh Giddey and we have a DFS core four to target in tournaments.
Today’s Top Sports Betting Pick
Stephen Curry is the greatest 3-point artist in the league, though there is value available in the under on his 4.5 made 3-pointers prop tonight, which is currently available for -110 at BetMGM.
By using OddsShopper to do the heavy lifting when researching favorable bets, we can quickly spot inefficient lines like this one, and having accounts at multiple sportsbooks allows us to pivot to the best number quickly.
Looking at the -144 offered by “sharp book” Pinnacle, we can see that there is a good 3-4% value in this number hung by BetMGM, essentially creating a mini-booster from the book without having to chase down a promotion.
Per the true odds of -120 (how OddsShopper measures the potential expected ROI of a given wager), this opportunity has a favorable 4.10% positive expected ROI as a function of the inefficient line.
NBA Bet Pro currently has Curry projected for 32.2 minutes and 5.11 made 3-point shots. While that is slightly above tonight’s targeted threshold, it still does not account for variable outcomes. The 55% win rate does provide some comfort when looking at a long time horizon to realize the value held within this posted line.
Across his last seven games, four after his three-game injury layoff and the trio of tilts preceding that absence, Curry has converted on five or more 3-pointers only twice, though he did have four in two of those games. In this stretch, he is averaging 30.9 minutes, 11.7 3-point attempts and 4.3 makes. This is a road game and the Timberwolves are a strong defense, which tips things just enough to go with the under for tonight 4.5 converted 3-pointer threshold.
