Jerick McKinnon-Isiah Pacheco DFS Projections
Per Stokastic’s expert DFS tools, Isiah Pacheco ($7,200 on DraftKings) projects at 9.64 fantasy points in the Super Bowl. Jerick McKinnon ($6,800) projects at 10.04 points, making him a slightly better DFS play for Super Bowl 57.
Pacheco has taken over the mantle as the lead running back in Kansas City. The sixth-rounder out of Rutgers ran for 830 yards and five touchdowns in the regular season and has kept the momentum going in through the first two playoff wins. He has run for 121 yards while adding 65 yards as a receiver.
The Chiefs will likely look to get Pacheco the ball throughout the Super Bowl, but it is Jerick McKinnon who has really stood out in the passing game. McKinnon had just 291 rushing yards during the regular season but added 56 receptions for 512 yards and nine touchdowns.
“Jerick is doing a great job,” Greg Lewis, the running backs assistant, said to The Athletic. “The opportunity that he’s been presented with, he’s taken advantage of those opportunities. I’m excited for him moving forward.
“(Pacheco) has done a tremendous job of leaning on Jerick, just getting that professionalism and what it’s going to take to be successful. They’ve got a good rhythm going right now.”
The Chiefs figure to be looking at both of their top running backs to make an impact in Super Bowl 57. But when looking at the Jerick McKinnon-Isiah Pacheco DFS rankings, McKinnon makes slightly more sense for the last slate of the NFL season.
