A.J. Brown-DeVonta Smith DFS Projections
Per Stokastic’s expert DFS projections, A.J. Brown ($9,200 on DraftKings) projects to have the most points of any receiver in the Super Bowl at 15.96. DeVonta Smith ($8,600) ranks just behind Brown at 15.34 points. Because of the price difference, Stokastic has Smith ranked as the slightly better value.
Brown quickly asserted himself as one of the elite receivers in the game in his first season with the Eagles. The 25-year-old set career highs in receptions (88) and yards (1,496 ). He also tied a career-high in touchdowns (11). But it’s been a bit of a different story in the playoffs. A.J. Brown has just seven receptions for 50 yards in the Eagles’ first two playoff wins.
He was seen on the bench clearly upset about his target share during the win over the New York Giants in the NFC Divisional Round.
“They throw the ball to me 100 times, I’m going to want it 101 times,” Brown said, via PFT. “Me personally, I just feel like I can change the game at any moment. Getting the ball often keeps you going, keeps you in a rhythm. It definitely puts you in a zone; you’re locked in. Of course I want the ball.”
With Brown getting the bulk of the attention, Smith has been the most productive Eagles receiver over the past two games. He has eight receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown in the playoffs so far.
Look for the Eagles to get A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith more looks in the Super Bowl than they’ve had in recent weeks. But if you’re looking for a better DFS option, Smith is your guy.
