Despite it being a Sunday full of football, we still have a seven-game NBA fantasy main slate. Included in this big slate will be a bunch of injury news. The Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page will give you breaking news when starters are announced as well as a full injury report on players who might be missing in action. Below are some NBA daily fantasy options that stand out for tonight’s slate using Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool and NBA DFS projections.
NBA Fantasy Projections & Optimal Lineup Picks Tonight
Top Boom Candidates
Giannis Antetokounmpo: $11,400 DraftKings/$11,300 FanDuel | 46.4% DraftKings Boom/49.4% FanDuel Boom
Whenever Giannis Antetokounmpo is on a slate, we know the upside he brings. His usage will be in the mid-30s, and he will fill up the box score. On top of that, Antetokounmpo got even better this offseason, improving his range. He has buried multiple shots from three-point range in four of his past five games. With Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez out again today, look for Giannis to put up a massive performance against Washington, who doesn’t have anyone close to capable of defending him. The Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool gives Antetokounmpo a floor of around 53 NBA fantasy points tonight, paired with the highest ceiling on the slate.
Josh Giddey: $6,300 DraftKings/$6,000 FanDuel | 27.1% DraftKings Boom/37.5% FanDuel Boom
Rookie Josh Giddey has been impressive from an NBA fantasy perspective this season. When you look at his game log on the Awesemo Fantasy Cruncher, you see nothing but green, and it’s because he contributes everywhere. The rookie is averaging 10.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.6 steals per game this season. While his salary is increasing, he still presents a strong value at an easy price to fit tonight. His floor is 28.5, per the Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool, which already nearly returns value. Giddey’s ceiling, however, is over 40 NBA fantasy points. He is a high ceiling, high floor play tonight.
Myles Turner: $6,200 DraftKings/$7,000 FanDuel | 25.8% DraftKings Boom/21.9% FanDuel Boom
This final “boom” candidate was a tough one, with the prices varying so much for today’s slate depending on which site you are playing. However, Myles Turner is a player that possesses upside on both sites. We have seen big performances from Turner recently, including two double-doubles in his last four games, while adding three or more blocks in three of these four games. Tonight, he faces a Kings team that ranks bottom-10 in defensive efficiency and top-five in pace. This is a great combination for a big man that runs the floor extremely well. The Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool gives Turner a floor of around 28 NBA fantasy points and a ceiling of about 40.

Top Bust Candidates
Derrick Rose: $4,800 DraftKings/$4,700 FanDuel | 67.6% DraftKings Bust/60.8% FanDuel Bust
Derrick Rose is coming off two strong performances. This was great to see, after struggling during this first stretch of the season. However, these performances were met with a salary increase, leading to him being a high-bust candidate for tonight’s slate. He is now at a price where he would have been considered a bust in four of his past six games, including one successful game in which he would have barely returned value. In other words, he will need to play much better than he has recently to simply return value. Given this crowded backcourt, he’s pretty likely he is a bust today.
Awesemo’s projections give him a -4.75 value on DraftKings and -4.26 on FanDuel today.
