NBA DFS Building Blocks Today: Thursday, November 3
Core Play of the Day — Nikola Jokic: Denver Nuggets-Oklahoma City Thunder
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 58.0 | FanDuel: 55.74
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 43.0% | FanDuel: 49.4%
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $11,400 | FanDuel: $11,500
On short-slates, raw points are coveted and today Nikola Jokic has a projection that is 13 or more fantasy points higher than the next two best projections held by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Stephen Curry. The two-time reigning NBA MVP is averaging 50 fantasy points per game, but that is down near 15% from his prior two campaigns. This is because he finally has Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. back on the court with him after they each missed significant time due to injury over the last two season.
Jokic still leads Denver with 21.0 points, 11.1 rebounds, 8.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game. Oklahoma City is simply not equipped to stop him and anything short of 50 fantasy points tonight will be a disappointment. Anytime he is on the court, Jokic is a threat for a triple-double, which demonstrates his tremendous upside. Though it was four years ago, Jokic does hold the record for the fastest triple-double which he recorded in 14:33 against Milwaukee. That by no means is a guarantee of anything, but it does demonstrate that Jokic can rack up the fantasy production across multiple statistical categories in a very short period of time.
Stephen Curry: Golden State Warriors-Orlando Magic
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 45.84 | FanDuel: 43.49
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 36.8% | FanDuel: 41.8%
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $9,900 | FanDuel: $10,200
Tonight, is the fourth of a five game East Coast swing for the Golden State Warriors. They have topped the first three games and now their 3-5 record is looking a little shaky. Stephen Curry has been sublime this season with at least 45 fantasy points in every game. In three of his last four outings, he has 57 or more fantasy points. Of course, it is too early in the season to be calling games must win, this is definitely one that Golden State needs to put in the victory column.

Klay Thompson currently has a 1.5 over/under assist prop for his matchup against the Magic tonight. The Stokastic NBA player projections have him for 2.6 assists in this matchup and he has tallied at least two assists in all but one game this season. For his career, Thompson has averaged 2.3 assists per game and every season has been at least two or more.

Paolo Banchero: Orlando Magic-Golden State Warriors
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 40.34 | FanDuel: 39.25
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 33.3% | FanDuel: 48.3%
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $8,200 | FanDuel: $8,500
Rookie Paolo Banchero has been outstanding this season and while he will have swings in his production game-to-game, Orlando has to be happy with what they have seen so far. While he has fallen below 30 fantasy points in each of his last two outings, he is still averaging nearly 40 fantasy points per game with 21.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.6 combined blocks and steals.
