DraftKings + FanDuel Boom/Bust Projections | April 26
NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Boom Candidates
Russell Westbrook vs. Spurs: $10,900 DraftKings/$11,200 FanDuel
17.6% DraftKings Boom/18.3% FanDuel Boom
Westbrook had his first fantasy dud in a while yesterday. He failed to record a triple-double and finished with just 40.25 DraftKings points in a win over the Cavaliers. This was the Wizards’ eighth win in a row and the first time that Westbrook scored under 50 DraftKings points in over a month. He should bounce back today. Not only does he have a strong matchup against the Spurs, Bradley Beal is questionable. If Beal is unable to play, Westbrook is going to have to do everything since Washington needs wins to keep its playoff hopes alive. However, keep an eye on his popularity if Beal is indeed out – Westbrook is currently the fourth-highest-owned player in Awesemo’s NBA DFS ownership projections. When Beal is off the court, Westbrook has a 36.5% usage rate and scores 55.69 DraftKings points per 36 minutes.
Jordan Clarkson vs. Timberwolves: $6,800 DraftKings/$6,000 FanDuel
19.8% DraftKings Boom/36.1% FanDuel Boom
Clarkson is not yet priced appropriately for his role without Donovan Mitchell. Mitchell remains out with a sprained ankle, which means that Clarkson, Joe Ingles and Mike Conley are all getting extra playing time and usage. With Mitchell off the court, Clarkson leads the Jazz with a 31.1% usage rate. There isn’t another player in the rotation that has a usage higher than 25% without Mitchell on the floor. This shows how reliant Utah becomes on Clarkson when Mitchell is injured, which is also exemplified in Awesemo’s NBA daily fantasy projections. This is also a great matchup against the Timberwolves since they play at the third-fastest pace and rank 27th in defensive efficiency.

Terance Mann vs. Pelicans: $4,800 DraftKings/$5,100 FanDuel
16.3% DraftKings Boom/18.7% FanDuel Boom
For at least one more game, Kawhi Leonard is out. He is expected to sit out tonight against the Pelicans, and he should return to the lineup for Wednesday’s pivotal matchup against the Suns. The Clippers are also oddly resting Luke Kennard tonight, so they are fairly thin on the wing. This means big minutes for Mann, who has played 37 and 34 minutes in the Clippers’ last two games since they were short-handed.
NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Bust Candidates
Kevin Love vs. Raptors: $6,800 DraftKings/$5,800 FanDuel
81.9% DraftKings Bust/57.8% FanDuel Bust
Since this is the tail end of a back-to-back, there are concerns with how many minutes Love will play tonight. As is, his minutes are a bit hard to nail down since Jarrett Allen and Larry Nance Jr. are both healthy again. After topping 30 minutes last week in consecutive games, Love has played under that mark in three straight. Cleveland is playing it a bit careful with his minutes, and that could get magnified since they are playing two days in a row.
