PrizePicks NBA Fantasy Predictions | Round 1

It is important to note that, much like odds that update throughout the day, the player totals at PrizePicks are subject to change. So if you like these NBA picks below, it’s wise to jump on them quickly.

Jabari Parker: Over 14.0 NBA Fantasy Points

Surprisingly, Jabari Parker has put up more than 14 NBA fantasy points in three of the four games this series. With Robert Williams doubtful to play today, Parker is needed to play minutes in the frontcourt. And with Kemba Walker also doubtful, Parker’s offense will be called upon as the Celtics seek to keep up with the Nets.

Damian Lillard: Over 8.0 Assists

Damian Lillard is known for being one of the best scorers in the NBA. However, he should really be known for being one of the top playmakers in the league since he is willing to pass to the open man as well. This is shown by him totaling double-digit assist totals in four of his last five games. Assuming the matchup tonight is competitive again, Lillard should play high minutes and have plenty of opportunity to find open shooters since he is the defense’s top threat to stop.

Nikola Jokic: Under 6.0 Assists

One of the reasons Nikola Jokic has earned the MVP is his ability to pass as a big man. While it is definitely true, the assists have not been there in this series. In fact, Jokic has five assists or fewer in five straight games, with two of the games in this series resulting in a single assist. The Nuggets need his scoring in a big way today.

Austin Rivers: Over 1.5 Made Threes

The offense from Austin Rivers has been a pleasant surprise for Denver since he was a late season add to the squad. Game 3 was his biggest performance, burying five shots from deep and helping the Nuggets win on the road. However, he also hit two shots from long range in Games 2 and 4, making it three straight games going over this total. Austin Rivers is never going to be the defense’s focus, and Portland isn’t great at defending anyways, so he will continue to see open shots today.

Michael Porter Jr.: Under 36.0 NBA Fantasy Points

It looks to be two postseasons in a row where Michael Porter Jr. struggles. In four games, he has cracked 30 NBA fantasy points just one time. His usage has fallen in every game, as have his shot attempts. With Porter not contributing other than points and a few rebounds, he needs a big scoring day to hit over this total, and the Blazers look set to make sure he does not do that.
