NBA Advice for Tuesday, November 21 | Lineup Generator

The process kicks off by selecting three key options. First, pick your desired DFS slate between DraftKings main and FanDuel Main.

Next, choose your ownership setting. I usually opt for contrarian lineups because I enjoy playing GPPs, but you can also select from all lineups, chalky lineups or balanced lineups.

Lastly, you have the option to lock in a player based on optimal percentage, projection or boom percentage. You can also skip this step if you’d like.

Today I selected DraftKings Main, contrarian lineups, and skip because there are a few plays I like but none I want to lock in. If you’re playing cash games like double ups or three-mans, you could select chalky or balanced for better projected lineups but contrarian builds is the way I want to go as I’ll be playing the $400K NBA Fadeaway [$100K to 1st] contest.

You can have some of the same players in a chalky lineup and contrarian lineup but as long as you get unique somewhere, that is totally OK. The size of the slate you’re playing can also determine what build is best for you.

After saving 20 lineups, the highest exposures I ended with were 45% Anthony Davis, 45% Jaden Springer, and 40% De’Anthony Melton. Here’s a sample of a lineup that resulted from these selections.

This lineup projects for 250.90 points and includes Anthony Davis and Jaden Springer, but not De’Anthony Melton. It also includes Caris LaVert and Jarrett Allen from the Cavaliers as most of team projects well with Donovan Mitchell out. In addition, it has a 23.1% owned LeBron James and 4.2% owned Obi Toppin from the Pacers. This lineup is super contrarian with three players projected for under 10% ownership, not a lineup I want to use in a single entry contest. However, this is a lineup I would like to use in a massive contest where I can play 150 lineups, which is what I’ll be doing tonight.

The Lineup Generator also makes it easy to export your lineups to CSV file so you can just point and click to upload them to DraftKings.

Exposure for the 20 lineups I saved:

It’s important to note these exposures are based completely off my settings. As a reminder, you can change between lineup builds and save lineups along the way. In total, I had 20 lineups saved in less than five minutes. That’s what makes this such a great NBA DFS tool for newer players and players who don’t have enough time research positive EV plays before lock. Even better, the projections update for you automatically, so you don’t need to worry about players getting ruled out last minute as long as you run the generator after the injury news goes public.
