If Gregg Popovich and company are to pull off an upset over the Grizzlies tonight, they will need a big performance from leading scorer DeRozan. He snared seven rebounds as part of a scintillating performance in the regular-season finale on Sunday to earn the No. 8 seed. On the heels of that showing, Curry is taking plenty of money to once again outperform his average of 5.5 boards per game. This has resulted in very appealing plus-money odds for him to go under on this NBA player props line.

Although it isn’t a surprise to see one of the NBA’s superstars backed on this prop line, the numbers suggest that the under is actually the better play regardless of pricing. Only twice in his last eight games has Curry exceeded 5.5 rebounds. The Lakers ranked seventh in team rebounding this season, and that was without stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis for prolonged stretches. It is hard to envision Curry battling amongst the big men in this matchup and coming away with that many rebounds. Throw in the plus-money odds and it’s more than enough to include the under among NBA betting picks this evening.
Dennis Schroder Over 4.5 Assists
Simply put, the plus-money NBA betting odds on Schroder to exceed 4.5 assists are nothing short of mouth-watering. On the season, Schroder has averaged 5.8 assists per game. After missing seven consecutive games with an injury, he returned to play the team’s final two regular-season matchups. While he may not have gone over 4.5 assists, notching four apiece in each of the two games is a positive sign heading into the postseason.
At the current line, Schroder can still finish below his season per-game average and still cash a plus-money ticket to the over. The Lakers will need to score if they are going to keep up with Curry and the Warriors in this one. Luckily, Golden State surrenders nearly 113 points per game this season. Combine a below-average defensive team with plus-money odds and the over here almost looks too good to be true.
