He got help from Tim Hardaway Jr. and Dorian Finney-Smith, who combined for 39 points on 15-for-22 shooting, including 9-for-14 from deep. The concerning performance was that of Kristaps Porzingis, who continues to play poorly. His 4-for-13 shooting and four rebounds is nowhere near enough for Dallas to win consistently in the postseason. He will need to step up tonight, as Doncic will see plenty of defensive attention.
Paul George was bad to start but did eventually come around. He shot 8-for-18 from the floor, while Kawhi Leonard shot 9-for-22. This isn’t good enough, but their combined 3-for-14 from deep is even worse. Aside from their defense on Doncic, the Clippers lost this game simply due to their poor shooting. They shot 11-for-40 from 3 as a team, and they only converted on 18 of 24 free throws. On top of that, six of their 3-point makes came from Rajon Rondo and Nicolas Batum.
