The Mavericks got a welcomed addition to their lineup last game, as big man Kristaps Porzingis made his season debut following a knee injury that ended his season last year. Starting and playing 21 minutes, Porzingis ended the game with 16 points, four rebounds and two blocks. Dallas definitely made it a point to get him the ball, proven by has 16 shot attempts in the 21 minutes. It also took pressure off of Luka Doncic, who likely saw a bit more space than he had all season long. He took advantage, finishing the game one assist shy of a 34-point triple-double. The Mavericks have had some COVID issues, and the following players are expected to be out today as a result: Josh Richardson, Jalen Brunson, Dorian Finney-Smith, Maxi Kleber and Dwight Powell.
Knock on wood, but the Bucks have stayed healthy this season despite the virus making its way through the NBA. The only player with a health status ahead of tonight’s game is Torrey Craig, who is probable with a nose injury. Despite this, there has still been inconsistency by Milwaukee this season, shown by their 8-4 record. They have won their eight games by an average of 22.75 points, with only one win being by single digits, which was their 9-point win over the Pistons last time out. When they put it together, they have been dominant. But when Giannis Antetokounmpo has an inefficient night, it is still a question mark if the supporting cast can lead the way for the Bucks when they need to.
