The Mavericks enter this game on a three-game winning streak. Though that sounds good, they beat the Lakers twice and the Pistons once, with all three games being at home. There a bit of risk in the matchup tonight, because both Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis are considered questionable to play. Doncic is apparently dealing with an elbow issue, though it could likely be the PR label for resting him against a bad team. Porzingis is dealing with the same ankle issue that kept him out of the last game. On top of that, Josh Richardson is questionable with the same hamstring injury that kept him out of last game. It certainly makes this game a risky one to bet early.
The Kings are without starting point guard De’Aaron Fox, as he is in the league’s health and safety protocols for up to two weeks. Tyrese Haliburton started and played well, finishing with 24 points and eight assists. Awesemo is projecting him to lead the team with over six assists but to be third in scoring to Buddy Hield and Harrison Barnes. Richaun Holmes returned from injury last game, but since this is the second leg of a back-to-back, it wouldn’t be surprising if he sat tonight. This would likely bring Hassan Whiteside back into the starting lineup.

This game is an absolute nightmare to bet. The team with the rest advantage, which is also the better team, may be missing their two stars. On the other side, the Kings are bad and are also missing their best player. They are at home, but it’s the second leg of a back-to-back.
Simply put, I am waiting to place an official bet. The line movement is fine as long as there is clarity on the players available. However, if with feet to the fire, I am betting the over. The Kings do not know how to play defense, and the Mavericks aren’t especially active on the defensive end either. Even if both Dallas stars are out, there are still shooters in this game that can get hot from beyond the arc and help the over hit.
