Nets vs. Heat Game Info
Brooklyn Nets (38-18, 15-11 Away) vs. Miami Heat (28-28, 15-13 Home)
Date: Sunday, April 18, 2021
Time: 3:30 p.m. EST
Venue: AmericanAirlines Arena — Miami, Fla.
Coverage: ESPN
The Nets are struggling with consistency, going 2-2 over their past four games. James Harden remains out for them, but this is Kevin Durant‘s fifth game since returning from injury. He has been solid overall for Brooklyn, and he eclipsed the 30-minute mark for the first time since his return last game. Durant finished the game with 25 points and 11 assists. Awesemo is projecting Durant to again play 30 minutes today. Meanwhile, it’s Kyrie Irving that Awesemo is projecting as the scoring leader for the Nets today. Irving scored just 12 points last game, but he is projected for over 26 today.
On the other side, the Heat are in a slump. Miami enters this game as losers of the past four games. All four games came on the road, so a home game on the schedule is a welcome sight. Last game they lost by 8 to a poor Timberwolves team in Minnesota. Jimmy Butler scored 30, Trevor Ariza scored 21 and Bam Adebayo finished with 17 on only eight shot attempts. Still, defense was the main issue, allowing the Wolves to shoot 51.9% from the floor. Victor Oladipo remains out for Miami today, and Butler is currently listed as questionable to play with an ankle injury. If Butler is sidelined, it’s tough to have much confidence in the Heat team.

Nets vs. Heat Prediction
Butler seems like a toss-up to play. His team is sinking and he cannot afford to sit and watch his team lose another game. However, there’s at least a 50/50 chance that happens. Even with Butler in the lineup, this team has been so bad that they are starting Ariza. Irving should bounce back after a poor outing, and Durant continues to get healthier.
Prediction: Nets -3
