NBA Prop Bet No. 1: Nikola Jokic UNDER 32.5 Points

This first prop right off the bat is not for the faint of heart. While Damian Lillard stole the show in Game 5, Nikola Jokic stole the win for his team on the back of a 38-point outing in double overtime. He has now eclipsed 32.5 points in four of five games this series and will unquestionably be the offensive centerpiece for the Nuggets once more as they attempt to close out the Trail Blazers. But Awesemo’s NBA DFS projected stats page only has Jokic pegged to score around 27 points this evening, a far cry from 32.5. That is more in line with his season average of 26.8, so trust the data and capitalize on an advantageous line, albeit one that Jokic could certainly surpass.

NBA Prop Bet No. 2: Facundo Campazzo UNDER 9.5 Points

Despite two overtime periods that brought 58 potential minutes into play for everyone in Game 5, Facundo Campazzo was limited to just 21 (with no foul trouble). The Nuggets prioritized Austin Rivers and Monte Morris down the stretch, and besides coming in for fouling purposes with 20 seconds left in the third and fourth quarters, Campazzo didn’t have a rotation after the four-minute mark of the third quarter. In the event that he is taking an abrupt backseat in this backcourt the rest of this series, shorting this scoring prop feels like the right move here. Be sure to home in on the books where a 9.5 number is available, as that little bit of cushion could make all the difference.

NBA Prop Bet No. 3: Damian Lillard UNDER 8.5 Assists

This is actually a fantastic game to target from a DFS perspective, especially compared to the Suns – Lakers slugfest that will ensure tonight. But many of the props from Nuggets – Trail Blazers are simply too high, whether by coincidence or because of slight inflation that might come from backing up a game where 287 combined points were scored. All five props on the betting card today short stats in this game (Aaron Gordon under 2.5 assists, Robert Covington under 7.5 rebounds are the other two), and the under on 8.5 assists for Lillard is no different.

It is terrifying to advocate against a player who has racked up at least 10 assists in four of five games in this series and had a 33.7% assist rate during the regular season. But at 7.7 assists per game, there is still a little daylight between that and 8.5. So here’s to hoping Lillard chucks up another 24 shots and scores the ball at will rather than creating opportunities for others. Make it one unit on the under here, and be sure to find the books where -110 odds are available.
