Brooklyn Nets superstars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant are always NBA DFS mainstays for those looking for action. But did you know that they are on an entirely different level? Don’t take my work for it either, as Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra is an absolutely huge fan.
“I’ve heard each of them talk about the art of basketball and I think that describes each of them well,” Erik Spoelstra said about Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. “They just continue to elevate their craft. There’s great players in this league and then there’s great players that are a different level where you can’t really do anything to scheme against them.”
“The way they can get where they want to go to and then the accuracy of how they shoot is so uncommon because they see all the different schemes, everybody is challenging them, everybody’s trying to get into their airspace,” he continued. “But they’re extremely accurate when they get to their spots.”

NBA DFS fans are already a fan of both players; though there’s always layers depending on each day’s value and — especially for Irving, at least from a historical level — if the talent involved are actually playing during any specific slate.
While we can dunk on third-eye Kyrie Irving for a bunch of his thoughts off the court, following his suspension he’s really led the charge for the Nets, not only leading them to a 12-1 record in December, but averaging an insane 28.3 points per game on 51.1 percent shooting from the field and 41.9 percent from beyond during that same stretch.

Nonetheless, NBA DFS fans already know the value of these Nets superstars. For a guy like Spoelstra to take a nice time to drop all the positives on each guy only reaffirms their current value.
