NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: Awesemo Grades | Feb. 15

Center: Jarrett Allen

DraftKings Grades: B, Values: A

FanDuel Grades: A, Values: A

In an effort to deal the center before the trade deadline, the Cavs will not be playing Andre Drummond anymore going forward. Jarrett Allen instantly becomes the main beneficiary as Cleveland’s top option at center. Since being acquired from Brooklyn, the 22-year-old has competed in two full contests without Drummond, and he has scored 44.75 DraftKings points per game (PPG) as the Cavs featured center. Allen’s playing time should be over 30 minutes on a nightly basis, which is more than enough for him to produce huge double-doubles. In 2020-21, the former Net has amassed 1.13 DraftKings PPM and is supplying 37.4 DraftKings PPG in the last 10 games he has logged at least 30 minutes, including six double-doubles.

For Monday night, Allen will be going against a Warriors’ defense that is down their top two centers, Kevon Looney (ankle) and James Wiseman (wrist). These two have been out for the last six games and Golden State has been forced to play small-ball lineups with Draymond Green as its starting center. Allen has a five-inch height advantage on Green, and is a lock for a double-double tonight. This is most likely the final time we can get him at a sub $7,000 price tags and Allen is rating as a top-10 point-per-dollar value on both DraftKings and FanDuel for this seven-game slate.

Projected NBA DFS ownership projection: DraftKings 16.7%, FanDuel 26.0%

Point Guard: John Wall

DraftKings Grades: A, Values: A

FanDuel Grades: A, Values: A

All eyes are on Wall tonight. He will make his anticipated return to Washington to face the Wizards’ organization that dealt him to Houston this past offseason. The relationship didn’t end on positive terms and Wall is going to be out for blood tonight. As of late, the fragile 30-year-old has appeared to be as healthy as ever this season, generating 37.9 DraftKings PPG over his last five. He has seen over 30 minutes in four straight, after failing to crack the 30 minute threshold in his seven previous starts.

Additionally, Victor Oladipo (foot) and Christian Wood (ankle) will be inactive for Houston, and when these two starters have been off the court, Wall’s usage has increased to 35.1% and his assist rate to 39.1%, both of which are team highs for this situation. This contest’s total is the second-highest of the night (228.5 points) and its spread is the smallest on the schedule (HOU -1.5). There truly isn’t anything working against Wall tonight and I highly recommend eating the chalk and making him a core play in all formats.

Projected NBA DFS ownership projection: DraftKings 37%, FanDuel 40.5%

Point Guard: Kyrie Irving

DraftKings Grades: A, Values: B

FanDuel Grades: A, Values: B

The Nets will head to Sacramento tonight without Kevin Durant (hamstring). Both of these clubs rank in the bottom-six in defensive efficiency and the total of this matchup is up to 242.5 points. This is a 1.5-point increase from the opening lines and the largest total of Monday’s seven games by 14.5 points. Having shares of this contest is a must tonight and Irving is my favorite target with Durant sidelined. In the five games he has started in without Durant, Irving is contributing 48.1 DraftKings PPG. In all the minutes he has played sans Durant, Caris LeVert (traded) and Spencer Dinwiddie (out, knee), Irving has produced 1.35 DraftKings points per minute (PPM).

Due to the Nets extreme defensive woes, they have found themselves in massive totals quite often this season and this is already the sixth game total of at least 240 points Irving has suited up for. In the first five, the 28-year-old scored 48.7 DraftKings PPG. Feel free to roster him on both sites tonight, but Irving is a far better target on DraftKings at only $9,000.

Projected NBA DFS ownership projection: DraftKings 23.6%, FanDuel 21.0%

Center: DeAndre Jordan

DraftKings Grades: C, Values: A

FanDuel Grades: C, Values: A

Jordan (personal) will return tonight after missing Saturday’s win vs the Warriors. In his last start, Durant was also out, and Jordan finished with 36.75 DraftKings points across 36.4 minutes against the Pacers. Following a seven-game stretch that he didn’t handle more than 22 minutes, the veteran is obtaining 28.7 minutes per game in his past three, all of which Durant has been inactive for.

Jordan should land in the 25-30 minute range tonight and for the season, the center is collecting exactly one DraftKings points per minute. The Kings have an abysmal interior defense, allowing a league-high 52.4 points in the paint per game. Furthermore, in their last 10, no team in the NBA has yielded more DraftKings points to opposing centers. This is a perfect spot for Jordan to notch his third double-double of the season and just like with Irving, the 32-year-old is much cheaper on DraftKings and a standout play on that site.

Projected NBA DFS ownership projection: DraftKings 17.9%, FanDuel 10.9%
