There is a large NBA fantasy slate today, with 11 games on the main slate. With this, there are new injuries gamers will need to pay attention to. The Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page will provide breaking news when starters are announced as well as a full injury report on players who might be missing in action. Below are some NBA daily fantasy options that stand out for tonight’s slate using Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool and NBA DFS projections.
Boom/Bust NBA Daily Fantasy Projections | DraftKings & FanDuel Lineups
Boom: Hassan Whiteside — $6,900 DraftKings/$6,500 FanDuel
35.5% DraftKings Boom/49.8% FanDuel Boom
Rudy Gobert is out for the Jazz once again, putting Hassan Whiteside in the starting lineup with a large role. Last game he put up a 16-point double-double with two blocks in 34 minutes. Tonight, facing the Grizzlies, Utah will need Whiteside’s size once again. He should play heavy minutes and continue to have a nice usage rate. For these reasons, the Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool gives him the best boom percentage on FanDuel and the third highest on DraftKings tonight.
Boom: Cameron Johnson — $4,700 DraftKings/$5,000 FanDuel
45.9% DraftKings Boom/35.5% FanDuel Boom
The Suns are shorthanded in their frontcourt, with Deandre Ayton, Frank Kaminsky, JaVale McGee, Jae Crowder and Cameron Payne all out. This means the Suns need a big workload from Cameron Johnson, which he has played well with recently. Johnson played 36 minutes in the same situation last game, and he played 38 minutes the game prior. While he has attempted only 20 shots over these two games, Johnson plays a Timberwolves team on the second leg of a back-to-back, so he could take advantage on offense tonight. For these reasons, the Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool gives him the best boom percentage on DraftKings and the fifth highest on FanDuel.

Boom: Mason Plumlee — $4,100 DraftKings/$4,000 FanDuel
32.6% DraftKings Boom/38.2% FanDuel Boom
If looking for a salary saver at the center position, Mason Plumlee looks to be in a good spot tonight. He faces off against a Lakers team that is on the second leg of a back-to-back, which means Anthony Davis could be out once again. Still, the Hornets will need Plumlee’s size down low. Plumlee played 34 minutes the last time he faced the Lakers, putting up 13 points and nine rebounds. Due to his role and salary, Awesemo projects him as the second-best overall value play on both DraftKings and FanDuel.
Bust: Kemba Walker — $6,000 DraftKings/$4,800 FanDuel
74% DraftKings Bust/52.5% FanDuel Bust
Kemba Walker went from playing heavy minutes to being benched. Then, out of necessity, he returned and played great before getting injured. Now Walker is playing a limited role in the Knicks lineup. He has played 21 or fewer minutes in each of the past three games. As a result, he has scored in single digits in all three games. Walker will not have much success against the backcourt of Milwaukee tonight either, so he is not worth a roster spot, even on FanDuel, where he is less expensive.
