Stokastic’s Steve “dacoltz” Buzzard Wins DraftKings Milly Maker, And This Stud Wasn’t In His Lineup

Well, it happened again, folks. Another Stokastic pro won yet another huge contest with the help of Stokastic’s Sims Tools. This time it was the DraftKings NFL DFS Milly Maker, and this time it was a solo first for our very own Steve “dacoltz” Buzzard. We may sound like broken records at this point, but these sims are changing the game for Stokastic pros and users — the results speak for themselves. And trust me: You do not have to be an NFL DFS pro to win big with Stokastic Sims, so what are you waiting for? Sign up now!

In the meantime, let’s get into Steve’s $1 million lineup and his NFL DFS strategy that got him there.

Milly Maker Winning DraftKings NFL DFS Sims Lineup & Strategy

The big thing you’ll notice with Steve’s lineup is someone who isn’t there: Christian McCaffrey. That’s right, Steve decided to stay away from the most expensive player on the slate — who was also, obviously, the top projected. On the one hand, McCaffrey did hit with 29.2 fantasy points, and the second-place lineup used him. On the other, that immediately made Steve’s lineup contrarian — McCaffrey was 62.5% rostered.

Forgoing McCaffrey meant Steve had to hit everywhere else and hope that his competitors got some duds. That is exactly what happened.

Steve did not go with a full stack, pairing only Brandon Aiyuk with his quarterback Brock Purdy. Instead, he opted for some killer one-offs with his other pass-catchers: Jameson Williams (scored two touchdowns), Zay Flowers (100 yards and a touchdown) and Travis Kelce (11 catches, 100 yards and a touchdown). Instead of McCaffrey, Steve went to David Montgomery and Isiah Pacheco, and Sam LaPorta was the choice at the flex. Also, with the Chiefs defense getting four sacks, a pick and allowing just 7 points, every single one of Steve’s plays scored at least 14 fantasy points.

But was that enough to knock out a lineup that included McCaffrey? Well, take a look at second place:

This lineup only had three players different: McCaffrey instead of Pacheco, Lamar Jackson rather than Purdy and Justin Watson instead of Aiyuk. Jackson and McCaffrey both outscored their counterparts, so this basically came down to Aiyuk’s miraculous catch off a deflection. Watson scored just 2.6 points, whereas Aiyuk put up 15.8, which was just enough to offset the points sacrificed by going with the lower-priced Purdy and Pacheco over McCaffrey and Jackson.

And I mean just enough. McCaffrey, Jackson and Watson combined for 52.38 fantasy points. Purdy, Aiyuk and Pacheco totaled 52.48 — 0.1 fantasy points made the difference in winning Steve $1 million. So when he says, “Thankful Purdy decided not to run back any further” on the game’s last kneeldown, he means it — because that literally could have cost him first place.

The magic of the sims shined brightly here. Few would have thought that a lineup that didn’t have McCaffrey would win a million over many lineups that did, yet Steve’s run of the sims found one that made took that swing and hit literally everywhere it possibly could. Plus, that final margin of victory shows how slim these things can be and how important it is to find every possible edge.

Based on how much the Stokastic Sims have been winning in 2024, it’s clear that there are edges to be found with our tools.

Congrats to Steve on the huge cash!
