The NBA season is down to the wire, with most teams only having a handful of games left. With the new format, there are more and more teams that still have something to play for, and a bunch of teams are trying to avoid the play-in tournament. This is helpful for betting as the motivation for most teams isn’t in question despite it being late in the season.

NBA Prop Bet: John Collins Over 6.5 Rebounds (-139, DraftKings)

Some of big names are on the slate like Stephen Curry and Anthony Davis, but the prop that stands out the most is coming out of the Hawks – Pacers game. Atlanta is a 6-point road favorite in game they could use. Collins has a few props of interest, but the best one is his rebounding number at 6.5. This is a great spot for Collins to surpass that total.

Atlanta is playing on a back-to-back, but last night’s 32-point blowout win allowed Collins to watch the fourth quarter from the bench. He should have zero limitations tonight, and this game is expected to be up and down given the massive 240-point total. The biggest reason to back the over here is that the Pacers are awful on the glass, and that’s not going to change tonight. Indiana is dead last in the league in rebounding rate, and they consistently rank towards the bottom in almost all rebounding statistics. The Hawks do a great job on the boards, ranking fifth in the league in rebounding rate, and although Clint Capela is a big reason why, Collins factors into that as well. Both of them should have ample opportunity to get after both the offensive and defensive glass tonight in a game with a lot of shots expected.

The high-paced total and the fact that Indiana is so bad at rebounding put this prop in prime position to cash. The books certainly agree that Collins is most likely going to go over 6.5 boards, the line on the over varies from -139 all the way to -154 across several sites. Although laying juice is never fun, it is still necessary to evaluate the price against the probability of success. Look for Atlanta to have a massive rebounding advantage at the end of this game, and if the score stays competitive, Collins should have plenty of minutes to get the job done.
