NBA Fantasy: DraftKings + FanDuel Projections & High-Upside Plays 5/6

The season is winding down, which leads to some unfamiliar names popping up in NBA fantasy projections. Today isn’t much different, as a handful of players from the Pistons look like good plays on FanDuel and DraftKings, but there are also some familiar names appearing on the top of the Awesemo NBA DFS Boom vs. Bust Tool.

Draymond Green vs. Thunder: $7,200 DraftKings/$7,900 FanDuel

26.6% DraftKings Boom/30.7% FanDuel Boom

Green has not been written up here on many other slates this season, but better late than never. The Warriors are pushing for a playoff spot, and Green is putting up the kind of box scores that only he can create. He is averaging a double-double over the last seven games and doing it with assists and rebounds. Over this stretch, Draymond is averaging 6.7 points, 11.1 rebounds and 10.3 assists per game. Awesemo NBA DFS projections have Green listed for 8.83 rebounds and 9.34 assists in nearly 35 minutes tonight. His playing time is up with the Warriors fighting for a playoff spot, and this is leading to greater counting stats.

Trae Young vs. Pacers: $9,400 DraftKings/$8,600 FanDuel

25.5% DraftKings Boom/41.9% FanDuel Boom

Young has not been rostered at a meaningful rate in about a month. This is going to change tonight. The minutes for everybody on the Hawks have been stunted a bit recently because of blowouts. Five of their last six games were decided by double-digits, which is cutting into Young’s production. Last game, for instance, he scored 39.5 DraftKings points but only played 26 minutes since the Hawks won by 32. Today’s game against the Pacers has a reasonably tight 6-point spread and also has a total of 240. The Pacers’ defense is getting crushed since Myles Turner got hurt, and Atlanta should take advantage of that tonight.

Pascal Siakam vs. Wizards: $8,100 DraftKings/$8,600 FanDuel

25.3% DraftKings Boom/27.5% FanDuel Boom

This is a game the Raptors must win to hold onto their playoff chances. They are playing the Wizards, who they currently trail in the standings by three games. Toronto is still slightly alive because a win today would mean the deficit is cut to two games and the Raptors would have the tiebreaker. Washington plays a tough schedule to close the season, so Toronto should go for the win tonight. This means extra minutes for guys like Siakam, Fred VanVleet and Kyle Lowry. Chris Boucher and O.G. Anunoby are both hurt, which benefits Siakam the most. He should log close to 40 minutes with increased usage in an uptempo game against the Wizards.

Andre Drummond vs. Clippers: $6,900 DraftKings/$6,600 FanDuel

66.2% DraftKings Bust/46.1% FanDuel Bust

The Drummond experiment is not going well in Los Angeles. He is clearly getting outplayed by Marc Gasol, and the Lakers are better with Gasol on the court. Gasol’s ability to shoot, defend and pass aren’t things that Drummond brings to the table. He can rebound, but he doesn’t bring any other strong skills to the table at this point in his career. Even with that said, Drummond managed to go all of last game without a rebound, which seems impossible. He is still somewhat pricey, so there are other, better center plays.
