The injuries of two of the league’s best power forwards are leading to great values in San Antonio, where LaMarcus Aldridge is expected to miss at least the next two games, and in Golden State where Draymond Green is ruled out for tonight.
Pau Gasol (4800 DK and 5400 FD), Kyle Anderson (5300 FD only), and Davis Bertans (4300 DK only): With San Antonio’s other star, Kawhi Leonard, already sidelined indefinitely, Aldridge’s absence tonight will leave plenty of opportunity for Spurs roleplayers, who typically thrive in the limelight. Davis Bertans, the smooth Latvian big man with range, Kyle Anderson, the do-everything wing, and the older Gasol will all be focal points in Popovich’s plan of attack tonight. Gasol is the best play here (and maybe overall) and should be used heavily across all sites and formats. Between Bertans and Anderson, pricing makes Bertans a superior play on DraftKings and Anderson on FanDuel.  % top-3 value: Gasol 41.5% DK, 45.4% FD; Kyle Anderson 33.4% FD only; Bertans 19.9% DK only.
Steph Curry (9900 DK and 10200 FD): You wouldn’t expect the absence of a defensively-oriented power forward to have a large effect on the performance of your superstar point guard, but Draymond isn’t your average power forward. The Warriors run a lot of their offense through Green with him functioning as a point-forward/facilitator and Steph playing off the ball. In fact, so far this season, Draymond has had the highest assist rate percentage of any Warrior, including Steph. With Draymond off the floor and creating less for other players, the Warriors will lean more heavily on Steph to create his own shot and distribute the ball. % top-3 value 19.0% DK, 25.5% FD.
Man, I agree. With Draymond off the court Steph’s usage increases! I hope this gets him jump started because he’s been off the mark lately.
