Top 5 FanDuel NBA DFS Picks Today

5. Xavier Tillman, Memphis Grizzlies

Tillman is a power forward/center who is priced at $5,300 and is projected to score 28 points, with a goal of 32 points. He has a 25% chance of being in the optimal lineup and is expected to play 28 minutes per game. Tillman is starting in place of Steven Adams and has been averaging around a fantasy point per minute. He is facing a favorable matchup against the Chicago Bulls and is expected to provide 10 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 stocks. While his price tag is starting to rise, he still provides great flexibility, as he can be played as both a power forward and center.

4. Franz Wagner, Orlando Magic

At $6,000, Wagner is projected to score 31 points with a goal of 36 points. He’s in the optimal line 25% of the time and is expected to play 33 minutes. Wagner has been playing a bit more lately and is facing a competitive matchup against the Knicks. He averages 0.95 fantasy points per minute, with an average of 19.5 points, 4.5 boards, 3 assists and a stock. Although it’s not a great pace matchup, Wagner could be a sneaky pick for today’s lineup, as he’s expected to play more than 33 minutes in a competitive game.

3. Jalen Brunson, New York Knicks

Brunson is a top pick for FanDuel as a point guard or shooting guard. With a projected score of 42 and a goal of 45, Brunson has a 26% chance of being in the optimal lineup. He has a consistent starting rotation of 38 minutes per game and averages 1.1 fantasy points per minute. Brunson is expected to play a lot of minutes, as the matchup against the Pistons is expected to be competitive. With 28% usage, 6.5 assists and 4 boards plus a steal, Brunson’s price tag looks good for the six-game slate. He is likely to be top 3 in minutes today without any real risk, making him a solid choice for FanDuel lineups.

2. R.J. Barrett, New York Knicks

Barrett, a shooting guard/small forward, is a strong FanDuel pick with a projected 34 points and a goal of 39. He has positional flexibility, which increases his potential for points. In a competitive matchup, Barrett is expected to play between 37 to 40 minutes, with a 27% usage rate. This would give him an estimated 23 real points, six rebounds, three assists and a steal. Despite having a questionable tag due to being sick over the weekend, Barrett is expected to have a solid game and his playing time is not likely to be affected. His price tag of $6,600 is also reasonable.

1. John Collins, Atlanta Hawks

Collins is a strong FanDuel pick as a power forward/center at $5,600. He is projected for 30 points, a goal of 34, and is in the optimal lineup 27% of the time. Collins is similar in value to Tillman at the same price, with a higher ceiling due to playing 32 minutes per game instead of 28. Collins has 17 usage per game, with 13.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2 steals. The matchup against the Pelicans is pace neutral but expected to be competitive. Collins’ mid-level price tag, power forward/center eligibility and fantastic positional flexibility make him a strong option on the slate, especially with the lack of pay-down options available.
