Jordan Bell
The matchup doesn’t look as good as Jordan Bell’s last start because of a far worse matchup versus Utah than versus the Hawks. But Bell is going to still get big minutes compared to his salary with Draymond Green out to injury. Bell will see more usage and rebounding as the lone Warriors big with consistent minutes making him a viable candidate to hit value at his current prices industrywide.
Eric Gordon (FanDuel) and Nick Young (DraftKings)
Both guards fit a similar profile of receiving higher than normal usage due to injuries on their team, a key for points-dependent fantasy players. Eric Gordon gets a great boost to his usual opportunity with an increase in minutes thanks to Chris Paul being out plus a good defensive matchup. The huge price difference, as pointed out in this Switch and Hedge game breakdowns, makes Gordon a great play on FanDuel but a tough one to fully trust on DraftKings. Nick Young will also see a lot of minutes and usage versus Utah with the Warriors’ stars all injured. The matchup versus Utah seems daunting but at a beneficial price on DraftKings, Young can still hit more than enough shots to pay off.
Russell Westbrook
Russell Westbrook has a nicely sized team total on his side and with his per-minute production similar to James Harden at a slightly cheaper price, Westbrook can be a good pivot from a highly owned player. On a slate of this size, getting the studs right can be the key. With a far lesser blowout risk than Harden and the Rockets thanks to a competitive matchup with the Trailblazers, Westbrook looks like the stud to own tonight to soak up the salary from all of the value plays available.
