🏀 NBA Daily Fantasy Picks Picks Based on Awesemo Grades & Values | 2/11/21

For Thursday night, we get a smaller five-game slate to attack, and below are some of my favorite NBA daily fantasy picks for both FanDuel and DraftKings based on Awesemo’s grades and values.

[DAYTONA]

NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: Awesemo Grades | Feb. 11

Center: Nikola Vucevic

DraftKings Grades: A, Values: A

FanDuel Grades: A, Values: A

Per usual, DraftKings and FanDuel aren’t giving Vucevic the respect he deserves and pricing him like the stud he is. Tuesday night, Vucevic posted 61.75 DraftKings points against the Trail Blazers across 41 minutes of work. The Magic were short-handed in this contest, and they will remain without Aaron Gordon (ankle) and Markelle Fultz (knee) for the third straight game. Additionally,  Evan Fournier (back), Michael Carter-Williams (foot) and Cole Anthony (shoulder) are questionable to suit up. Vucevic’s usage rate has been at 34.2% in his past three and could grow even further if any of these three players ends up sitting out.

For Thursday night, he and the Magic will be facing the Warriors in a solid game total of 223 points, which is the second-largest total of this five-game slate. Vucevic is averaging 52.4 DraftKings points per game this season when the game total is 220 points or more, and he is the best high-end value of Thursday night.

Projected NBA DFS ownership projection: DraftKings 26.9%, FanDuel 24.6%

Small Forward: Kelly Oubre

DraftKings Grades: B, Values: C

FanDuel Grades: B, Values: B

Oubre’s role has been very stable with the Warriors down their top two centers. Kevon Looney (ankle) and James Wiseman (wrist) have both missed the past four tilts, resulting in 34.5 minutes per game for Oubre. Prior to this, he hadn’t exceeded the 30-minute mark in six straight starts.

The increased opportunity has translated to 36.8 DraftKings points per game,  and tonight Oubre gets a Magic defense that has been very susceptible to shooting guards. No team has surrendered more DraftKings points per game to opposing shooting guards than Orlando this season. Oubre is affordable on both sites, and he is a safe mid-tier target for this short slate.

Projected NBA DFS ownership projection: DraftKings 16.8%, FanDuel 23.9%

Shooting Guard: Seth Curry

DraftKings Grades: D, Values: E

FanDuel Grades: D, Values: D

Curry was hampered by an ankle injury last week but has appeared fully healthy in his last two outings. After scoring single-digit fantasy points in back-to-back starts, Curry has supplied 26.25 DraftKings points per game across his most recent two. His usage has been up to 21.1%, which is a big upgrade from the 10.2% he received in his previous five. The sharpshooter has also regained his stroke from outside, shooting 66% from 3, and his matchup tonight against the Blazers is very friendly for shooting guards.

For the season Portland is allowing the fifth-most made 3-pointers per game and the third-most DraftKings points per game to opposing shooting guards. Lastly, Shake Milton (doubtful, ankle) is expected to be inactive, which should tighten the 76ers’ rotation and lead to a few extra minutes for Curry. This Philadelphia – Portland matchup presents the highest over/under of the night (229.5 points), and with a lack of appealing punt plays available for this five-game slate, gambling on an underpriced Curry makes a ton of sense.

Projected NBA DFS ownership projection: DraftKings 5.3%, FanDuel 19.3%

Power Forward: Jerami Grant

DraftKings Grades: A, Values: A

FanDuel Grades: A, Values: B

Grant has been excellent scoring 43.1 DraftKings points per game with a 26.9% usage rate across his last four. Derrick Rose missed all of these games and was just dealt to the Knicks on Monday. Rose has missed nine contests in total for Detroit this season, and Grant is averaging 40.4 DraftKings points per game with him out of the lineup.

Tonight the Pistons will be at home, where Grant is amassing 41 DraftKings points per game, going against a Pacers team that is on the second night of a back-to-back. They have given up 130 and 114 points the past two times they have played their second contest in two nights, and Grant’s $7,400 price tag on DraftKings make him a standout value for the site. He and Vucevic are the only two players to sport an “A” grade and value for DraftKings tonight, based on Awesemo’s rankings.

Projected NBA DFS ownership projection: DraftKings 26.1%, FanDuel 21.1%
