There are only two games tonight and only one player priced above $10,000 on DraftKings. There are two players at $10,000 or more on FanDuel and there is also plenty of decent value available, so it shouldn’t be overly difficult to get to either of the most expensive options. Using Stokastic’s NBA DFS projections, let’s take a deeper dive into the player pool to discuss the top NBA DFS high-priced studs and decide between Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Bam Adebayo for DraftKings and FanDuel lineups.

NBA DFS Studs: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Bam Adebayo
Stud No. 1 – Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Oklahoma City Thunder at Golden State Warriors
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $10,600/ FanDuel: $11,300
- Stokastic’s Point Projections: DraftKings: 51.6/ FanDuel: 51.7
- Stokastic’s Ownership Projections: DraftKings: 35.8%/ FanDuel: 54.7%
Gilgeous-Alexander is an excellent fantasy producer, averaging 1.52 DraftKings points per minute this season. He leads Oklahoma City with a 31.7% usage rate and a 29.3% assist rate. It has been difficult to prioritize him at times this season because he has often been on slates with Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid, who are at a separate level of elite production, but that isn’t the case tonight. The Thunder have the highest implied point total on the slate, and Gilgeous-Alexander is a clear top option.
Stud No. 2 – Bam Adebayo: Brooklyn Nets at Miami Heat
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $9,200/ FanDuel: $10,000
- Stokastic’s Point Projections: DraftKings: 46.8/ FanDuel: 46.5
- Stokastic’s Ownership Projections: DraftKings: 50.3%/ FanDuel: 47.5%
Adebayo is off to a great start this season, producing 1.33 DraftKings points per minute for Miami. He leads the team in usage rate and rebounding rate and is third in assist rate behind Kyle Lowry and Tyler Herro (who is currently sidelined). While Adebayo isn’t as strong a fantasy producer as Gilgeous-Alexander, he is also much less expensive. He is a strong option on either site but looks better on DraftKings since we can roster two centers.
There are only two games tonight, and we aren’t currently waiting on much injury news, but the NBA never fails to surprise us. Be sure to check out Stokastic’s Deeper Dive and Live Before Lock shows.
