Quarterback: Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
Week 3 Projection: 20.21 DraftKings Points
Core Floor Price: $11.39
Prescott is playing really well to start the season, despite his fantasy production. He is completing north of 70% of his passes and is yet to turn the ball over. The reason his fantasy point averages aren’t gaudy are due to blowouts. Dallas won its first two games by an average of 30 points, limiting the need to throw the ball much in the second half. Even though the Cowboys are once again big favorites over the Cardinals, they aren’t going to keep blowing the doors off opponents which is going to create a path to upside for Prescott sooner rather than later.
Running Back: Travis Etienne, Jacksonville Jaguars
Week 3 Projection: 18.37 DraftKings Points
Core Floor Price: $7.97
With a projection of 18.37 DraftKings Points, Etienne is the third highest projected running back at Stokastic. The only players at the position with a higher projection this weekend are Tony Pollard and Bijan Robinson. The projection difference between Etienne and these stud running backs is marginal but the difference in floor price isn’t. Etienne is less than half the price of the two backs who project only slightly better than him, making him a good value target on the secondary market.
Wide Receiver: CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys
Week 3 Projections: 19.06 DraftKings Points
Core Floor Price: $10.93
Lamb makes for the perfect stacking partner with Prescott. Due to his Superstar status, he is priced down on the secondary market. This is an oversight. Lamb is getting a ton of targets to open the season and is finding success despite the Cowboys playing in favorable game scripts for running the ball. Last week was a prime example of the kind of upside Lamb possess. He went off for 143 yards while hauling in 11 of his 13 targets. Now is a good time to buy him with the field looking to load up on Tyreek Hill and Justin Jefferson.
