Top NFL DFS Value Plays
Jake Ferguson – $3,900
Ferguson has 27 targets through five weeks, the second most on the Cowboys. Tonight he has a middling matchup against a Chargers defense ranked 15th in pass DVOA. Ferguson’s projection of 9.9 fantasy points in Stokastic’s custom OwnersBox NFL DFS projections is the eighth highest on the slate, and every player projected better is also more expensive.
Michael Gallup – $3,700
Gallup is second on the Cowboys in route participation at 76% and tied for fourth in target share at 13.3%. With a projection of 8.11 fantasy points, Gallup makes for a great value play tonight.
Quentin Johnston – $4,000
Johnston saw his route participation rise to 67.7% in Week 4 with Mike Williams out. The big-bodied rookie is the receiver most similar to Williams on the roster, and it would not be a surprise to see him take on more of the Williams role coming out of the bye week. Johnston will face a Cowboys defense that is ranked sixth in pass DVOA but that has given up big scores in two of three weeks since Trevon Diggs tore his ACL in practice (28 to the Cardinals, 42 to the 49ers).
Gerald Everett – $3,800
Everett played a season-high 69% of snaps in Week 4, and while it is unclear the extent to which Donald Parham‘s second quarter injury impacted Everett’s playing time, it is possible he would have seen extra snaps either way with Williams out. Everett ran routes on exactly 50% of dropbacks in each of the first three quarters and 100% in the fourth quarter. Parham is expected to return tonight, but if he can’t go, it will be a large boost to Everett.
Jalen Tolbert – $3,500
Tolbert played 45% of snaps for the Cowboys in Week 5. For the season, he has run routes on 30% of dropbacks and has accumulated 107 air yards on just nine targets. Tolbert is a large-field tournament dart only.
