OwnersBox NFL DFS is back for the Thursday Night Football showdown between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Los Angeles Chargers. There are several players under $5,000 popping as great values on this slate, so let’s break down the best OwnersBox NFL DFS value plays for Week 15 TNF.
OwnersBox NFL DFS Picks: Chargers-Raiders TNF DFS Values
Josh Palmer – $4,800
Palmer returns from injury at an extremely opportune time, as the Chargers will be without Keenan Allen on Thursday night. The matchup is middling, as the Raiders have given up the 16th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to wide receivers over the past 5 weeks. It remains to be seen what Palmer’s role will be immediately on his return, but he could be considered the top receiver on the Chargers, priced like a wide receiver two. Palmer is one of the better point-per-dollar plays on the slate in Stokastic’s OwnersBox NFL DFS projections, and makes for a great play on this slate.
Alex Erickson – $3,200
Erickson was fourth on the Chargers in route participation in week 14 at 64.6%, and he saw six targets, though he only could one of them.. Erickson’s opportunities have been sporadic, but with Allen out, he is likely to retain a real role in this offense, at a fantastic price.
Gerald Everett – $4,500
Everett has seen his snap share rise back over 60% in each of the past 3 games, after a brief mid-season dip. In week 14, Everett was third on the Chargers in route participation at 66.7%, and he saw 8 targets, behind only Allen. The Raiders have given up the 21st-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to tight ends over the past 5 weeks, but Everett’s opportunities and price tag more than offset the below average matchup.
Hunter Renfrow – $3,900
Renfrow had 13 receptions over the first 10 games of the season, and 12 over the past 3. In week 14, he was 3rd on the Raiders in route participation at 55.6%, and he was targeted 5 times. Tonight, Renfrow faces a Charges defense that has given up the 7th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to wide receivers over the past 5 weeks. Maybe he will finally score his first touchdown of the season?
Michael Mayer – $3,800
Mayer played 94% of snaps for the Raiders in week 14, running routes on 52.8% of dropbacks, though he was targeted just twice. Mayer has an elite matchup with a Chargers defense that has given up the 6th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game over the past 5 weeks.
Notably, Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams are both questionable as I write this. If Jacobs in particular is ruled out, the value on this slate would change dramatically. Zamir White ($5,000) has been priced up for a potential Jacobs absence, but he would still be a nice value against a Chargers defense that has given up the 6th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to running backs over the past 5 weeks. Ameer Abdullah ($4,300) would also likely see a bump in opportunities as the better receiving back.
