NBA Daily Fantasy Picks Today No. 1 – Nikola Jokic

- Stokastic’s Point Projections: DraftKings: 64.6/ FanDuel: 61.9
- Stokastic’s Ownership Projections: DraftKings: 5.7%/ FanDuel: 9.7%
Jokic is the lowest owned of the three primary pay up options tonight, which makes him an interesting options in tournaments. While the others are easier to get to because of their position and/or salary, Jokic is always in the conversation to be the highest scorer on a slate.
He has produced 1.77 DraftKings points per minute in the 11 games that he has played with Jamal Murray this season. It is likely he produces at a rate lower than that tonight, however, as the Nets rank in the bottom 10 in pace so far this season.

We don’t know yet exactly who will be playing for Dallas tonight, but we do know that Kyrie Irving won’t be active which is a bump for Luka Doncic. Doncic played 43.4 minutes against the Lakers on Tuesday, which makes at least 40 minutes in five of the six games he has played without Irving this season.
Overall, he has produced 1.63 DraftKings points per minute with a 32.3 percent usage percentage and 45.4 percent assist percentage in 40.9 minutes per game in those games. He has a difficult matchup against Minnesota, who ranks first in adjusted defensive rating this season, but he remains a strong option tonight.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is difficult to prioritize on most slates because he is an expensive option at a deep position and isn’t quite as productive as the true DFS superstars. He is a bit easier to get to tonight, however, because we don’t have a ton of great guard options.
He also has a favorable matchup against the Kings, who rank in the bottom 10 in adjusted defensive rating and 11th in pace this season. Gilgeous-Alexander has produced 1.52 DraftKings points per minute in the 18 games that he has played alongside Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams and Josh Giddey this season while averaging 35.2 minutes per game in those games.
