After a pair of surprising results on Wednesday, tonight’s NBA betting Game 6 doubleheader is even more intriguing. The Atlanta Hawks rallied from down 26 to stun the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday. They will aim to book a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals on their home floor tonight. Out west, the Los Angeles Clippers will look to do the same after they upset the Utah Jazz despite being without one of their stars. Tonight’s games are the perfect way to kick off the weekend with some basketball betting tips. Why not take a crack at some NBA player props and picks while you enjoy the action? Three plays are outlined below, including betting odds and prediction for 76ers center Joel Embiid.

NBA Betting Prediction: NBA Player Props | June 18
Lou Williams Over 7.5 Points (SugarHouse)
The 23 minutes that Lou Williams played in Game 5 was the most he has seen in any game during this series. He did a little bit of everything in the Hawks’ stunning comeback win. His final line consisted of 15 points, three assists, two rebounds and a pair of steals. In reality, Wednesday’s performance marked the continuation of steady production from Williams. Despite not playing more than 15 minutes in any other game in this series, he has only finished under tonight’s NBA player props point total once.
It is no secret that Williams is on the downside of his NBA career. That said, he has provided Atlanta with a veteran presence in the locker room during their postseason run. His stats suggest he can still positively contribute on the floor as well. There is certainly no reason for coach Nate McMillan to drastically reduce his minutes tonight after he shot 7-for-11 on Wednesday while contributing in other areas as well. If Trae Young is at all limited by his shoulder injury in Game 6, Williams could find himself playing an even more critical role on the offensive end. It is worth laying the -127 odds to include over 7.5 points among tonight’s NBA betting picks.
Joel Embiid Under 12.5 Rebounds (BetMGM)
After a brutal second-half performance in Game 4 of the series, Joel Embiid bounced back in a big way on Wednesday. The only problem is that the 76ers blew their massive lead. Still battling through a knee injury, Embiid is now forced to dig deep once again as Philadelphia seeks to avoid elimination on the road tonight. While playing under on the NBA player props for Embiid’s total points is appealing, him finishing under 12.5 total rebounds is the best prediction to make.
Embiid is yet to finish with fewer than nine rebounds in any game during this series. In fact, he has cleared tonight’s odds of 12.5 boards in three of the five previous games. The fact that he barely squeaked by with 13 in two of those contests is worth noting. The Awesemo NBA Player Props Tool loves the value in the under on this prop prediction in Game 6. Embiid only averaged 10.6 rebounds per game on the season. Therefore, there are plus-money odds on the mean side of the prop. Add in the injury and the presence of Hawks center Clint Capela, and that is two more reasons to play under. Atlanta was a top-10 rebounding team on the season, just like Philadelphia. Nothing will come easy for Embiid on the glass tonight.
Marcus Morris Over 16.5 Points (PointsBet)
With Kawhi Leonard sidelined, the Clippers were desperate for other players to step up in the scoring column behind Paul George on Wednesday. None did so more effectively than Marcus Morris. Morris was second to George with 25 points in Los Angeles’ stunning road win. After struggling mightily and failing to score in double figures in each of the first three games of the series, Morris seems to have found his scoring touch. Game 5 marked his second straight with over 20 points after he scored 24 in Game 4. Leonard will be sidelined once again tonight, which should boost the chances of Morris going over the line of 16.5 points.
It should come as no surprise that Morris’ better scoring outputs have correlated positively with his 3-point shooting. After hitting just one of 16 attempts over the first three games of this series combined, Morris has gone 8-for-10 from beyond the arc in Games 4 and 5. With Game 6 being on the Clippers’ home floor, this should only help Morris keep this shooting run going. With Leonard out, Morris took a playoff-high 16 shots on Wednesday. Increased attempts, a hot hand and a very poor display of perimeter defense by the Jazz all work in favor of this over prediction.
