Tonight’s Top Monkey Knife Fight MLB Player Prop Picks

Monkey Knife Fight has a ton of profitable contests for the public, and here we will break down the two best areas from which to make MLB picks.

More or Less – Strikeouts: Pick 2-for-2 | Prize: 3x Buy-In

Zack Wheeler (7.5 strikeouts) vs. Max Fried (4.5 strikeouts)

Wheeler is turning out to be quite the pickup for the Phillies since coming over from the division rival Mets last season. Although his last two starts have not been great, he should get back on track tonight. Those last two outings for Wheeler included some bad defense and poor luck that will not show up in the traditional box score. In three starts against the Braves this season, Wheeler is 1-1 with a 1.37 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 19.2 innings.

Pick: Wheeler, Over 7.5 Strikeouts

Fried is coming off a sparkling outing against the Rays, but the Rays are miserable against lefties. This matchup against the Phillies is much tougher, especially since they have hit Fried well in the past. Bryce Harper (5-for-15, two home runs), Odubel Herrera (3-for-4, double, home run) and J.T. Realmuto (9-for-20, five extra-base hits) are all capable of making this a much tougher night for Fried.

Pick: Fried, Under 4.5 Strikeouts

Home Runs – Pick: 3-for-3 | Prize: 10x Buy-In

Pete Alonso + Jose Altuve + Juan Soto

This contest requires users to pick three players to hit a home run, but there is plenty here to feel optimistic about. On DraftKings Sportsbook each of these guys has very odds of +300 or better to hit a home run.

Alonso gets a juicy matchup against Blue Jays left-hander Steven Matz, who is making his return to Citi Field. Alonso hit two homers in the recent series against the Reds, so the Home Run Derby did not ruin his swing. Altuve has three homers and a 1.133 OPS over his last five games, and he too will be facing a left-handed starter in Kolby Allard of the Rangers. It is worth mentioning that Altuve is hitting .308 against lefties, compared to .262 against righties. Last but not least, Soto faces an Orioles team throwing Jorge Lopez tonight. Lopez is one of the best pitchers in all of MLB to plan the offensive attack around, and Soto is hitting .444 with three homers since the break.
