While Sundays will continue to be dominated by the NFL, there is still a nice NBA DFS slate for a bit of action. With 10 clubs in action on the main slate, NBA fantasy lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel will be flush with high-level talent and value plays. The Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page will give you breaking news when starters are announced as well as a full injury report on players who might be missing in action. Below are some NBA daily fantasy options that stand out for tonight’s slate using Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool and NBA DFS projections.
NBA Fantasy Projections & Optimal Lineup Picks Tonight
Top Boom Candidates
De’Aaron Fox: $8,300 DraftKings/$8,500 FanDuel
37.9% DraftKings Boom/28.6% FanDuel Boom
De’Aaron Fox has a high potential to boom on both sites today. A big reason is the matchup against the Warriors, as it should be an up-and-down game for all four quarters, leading to plenty of scoring opportunities. Fox took advantage of those opportunities the last time he faced Golden State, pouring in 44 points on only 22 shot attempts. With a projected total of 234, this game has the highest over/under of the day, which should lead to fantasy gold. The Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool gives Fox a floor of around 37 NBA fantasy points but a ceiling of about 50.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: $6,800 DraftKings/$6,800 FanDuel
34.9% DraftKings Boom/28.4% FanDuel Boom
It has been a disappointing start to the season for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Some of this lack of success can be attributed to the lack of talent surrounding him. Still, he has connected on 2 of 13 3-point attempts thus far, and he turned the ball over five times last game. Positive regression has to kick in at some point. Since the matchup is in Oklahoma City, this could be a close game with the 76ers, who have been much worse away from their home floor over the past couple of years. Unlike the first two games of the season, Gilgeous-Alexander may not get blown out, leading to a full helping of minutes and a strong fantasy output at a reduced salary. The Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool gives Gilgeous-Alexander a ceiling of over 40 points, so there is plenty of upside.
Robert Williams: $6,100 DraftKings/$7,000 FanDuel
34.2% DraftKings Boom/28.0% FanDuel Boom
No matter the matchup, Robert Williams always has the potential for a monster game due to his ability to block shots. Through two games he has already blocked eight shots this season. With the matchup being against Houston, Boston will need Williams’ size down low. Christian Wood is also one of the Rockets’ best players, so he should see the ball a lot, leading to many opportunities for Williams to rack up blocks and rebounds. The Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool  gives Williams a floor of 27 and 29 points, depending on the site, which makes him a relatively safe NBA fantasy play with a ton of upside.
Top Bust Candidates
Ja Morant: $9,200 DraftKings/$9,000 FanDuel
68.6% DraftKings Bust/75.0% FanDuel Bust
After a big performance in the season opener in which he attempted 29 shots, Ja Morant had 28 points, two rebounds, eight assists and a steal the next game. It was a solid showing, but he is overpriced today. It also does not help that he faces a Lakers team that will look to slow it down against Memphis. Morant is on the second leg of a back-to-back, so there could be a bit of fatigue down the stretch of the game, limiting his NBA fantasy outlook today.
