NBA Fantasy: PrizePicks Strategy for Bucks vs. Suns Finals Game 2

Unfortunately, the NBA fantasy season is quickly coming to a close. On top of that, since there are only one-game slates because of the NBA Finals, the way many play DFS has to completely change. While the most common version of NBA DFS features users creating lineups of players, this may become a tougher task on single-game nights. If you are wanting to play NBA fantasy but would like a different way to do it, PrizePicks may be the exact thing you are looking for.

PrizePicks provides a big list of stats and fantasy points, and users can choose for which bets they want to make a prediction. Stringing together a few picks can pay out up to 10 times the entry fee. Users are even able to combine picks across different sports. The only rule is they must make picks for players on at least two different teams.

I will continue to post NBA Finals picks to use on PrizePicks in another article. However, for this one, we will take a look at some general strategy to win on PrizePicks and how that strategy can be applied to Game 2 of the Milwaukee Bucks – Phoenix Suns series tonight.

PrizePicks NBA Fantasy Strategy

Unlike some other DFS prop sites, PrizePicks provides full freedom over the props. They offer a large list of props, and users must select only one prop per player and props from at least two different teams. As such, someone wanting to only predict the Suns’ starting lineup tonight would be out of luck.

On PrizePicks users choose between two and five props. If picking between three and five, there is another option called “Flex Play.” In this setting it is a smaller payout for winners, but it brings the ability to be incorrect on one or more picks and still be paid out something. Otherwise, the typical contest format is “Power Play.” This format pays out up to 10 times the entry fee for predicting all four NBA fantasy player props correctly.

PrizePicks also uses the same NBA fantasy scoring format as FanDuel, so gamers can easily use Awesemo’s projections to make picks on their site.

Applying PrizePicks NBA Fantasy Strategy to NBA Finals Game 2

Since one can just play the props they are most comfortable with, it is wise to pick players that are correlated positively or negatively to each other. Projecting a game script and selecting props that align with said script provides a greater chance of all of them hitting if projections play out.

Tonight the Suns are favored by 5 points against the Bucks. If the odds are correct and the Suns win, then users can look at past Suns wins and determine what is most likely to play out for NBA fantasy. After Game 1 combined for 223 points, tonight’s projected total is 220.5, which is also pretty high. This means the Suns are projected for 112.75 points as a team. It would be wise to select over the point totals on their scorers or leave that prop alone. Predicting someone like Devin Booker to have a poor shooting night on a high-point team win brings with it too much risk.

Chris Paul has been playing really well in Phoenix wins, and he is most positively correlated with Jae Crowder, Booker and Deandre Ayton.
