Best DraftKings Reignmakers Targets | NFL Week 1
Quarterback: Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts
Week 1 Projection: 17.91 DraftKings Points
Core Floor Price: $12.29
Richardson is a wild card heading into the season from a fantasy standpoint, but the upside is apparent. The season could start off rocky for him, but keep in mind that any cards we buy have utility for the entire season. Richardson is opening the season as the starting quarterback for the Colts, and in his final season at college, he amassed 103 rushing attempts in 12 games. This rushing ability is sure to come with fantasy upside, and it doesn’t hurt that the Colts are expected to stink this year, likely leading to garbage-time fantasy points for Richardson.
Running Back: Alexander Mattison, Minnesota Vikings
NFL Week 1 Projection: 16.0 DraftKings Points
Core Floor Price: $7.50
Of all the running backs without a SuperStar designation, few players project better than Mattison. However, the three players projected ahead of him at the position that aren’t SuperStars (Josh Jacobs, Tony Pollard, Bijan Robinson) all have floor prices north of $15. Mattison provides a comparable Week 1 projection to these other starting running backs but at half the price. Now that Dalvin Cook is with the Jets, Mattison figures to play the role that Cook used to play. He’s an underrated back entering the season and kicks the season off with a favorable game script in a matchup against the Buccaneers, as Minnesota is a 5.5-point home favorite.
Wide Receiver: Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers
NFL Week 1 Projection: 18.18
Core Floor Price: $10.50
The game between the Chargers and Dolphins makes for a great game stack this weekend. In Stokastic’s Top Stacks Tool, these teams have the second- and third-best odds to finish as the highest-scoring stacks on the slate. Sportsbooks seems to agree, as the game total is set at 50.5 points, the highest of the weekend by 4 points. Of all the pass catchers in the game, nobody projects as a better value than Allen. Injuries derailed his 2022 season although Allen was clearly Justin Herbert’s favorite target last season when healthy. In 10 games, Allen brought in 66 receptions for 752 yards.
