NBA DFS Value and Advice | April 26
New York Knicks at Cleveland Cavaliers (-5.5)
Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson stand out as the top values from the Knicks, as Randle is just $6,900 and Robinson is only $4,800. There is plenty of risk in Randle, as the Cavaliers have done a great job against him in this series. He’s averaged just 0.91 DraftKings points per minute, and he didn’t even step on the floor in the fourth quarter of the Knicks’ Game 4 win. Still, Randle’s free-falling salary accounts for a lot of the risk. Robinson has produced 0.92 DraftKings points per minute in about 26 minutes per game in the series. Jalen Brunson and R.J. Barrett both offer high ceilings at relatively inexpensive price tags as well.
Caris LeVert remained in the Cavaliers starting lineup and played about 39 minutes last game, making him a strong NBA DFS value as long as he starts again. Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen are both cheap at less than $7,000 on DraftKings. Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland offer massive ceilings at reasonable salaries as well.
Los Angeles Lakers at Memphis Grizzlies (-4)
Not much stands out for the Lakers, as they are healthy and LeBron James and Anthony Davis do most of the heavy lifting but also cut into each other’s fantasy production. Both are viable tournament plays at virtually no ownership but not priorities. Austin Reaves and D’Angelo Russell look like the best options at their mid-range price tags. Dennis Schroder and Jarred Vanderbilt offer cheap upside as well.
Memphis projects a bit better, as Dillon Brooks has a 32% chance of being optimal on DraftKings and projects for 56% ownership. Nobody should ever be confident in rostering Brooks, but there are not a lot of good cheap plays on tonight’s slate. Xavier Tillman is inexpensive and offers value as well. Jaren Jackson Jr. is the most underpriced of the main three starters at $7,800 on DraftKings, while Ja Morant and Desmond Bane offer plenty of relatively low-owned upside in tournaments.

Miami Heat at Milwaukee Bucks (-12)
Jimmy Butler is coming off one of the best postseason performances ever, so it goes without saying he has a massive ceiling. Still, do not expect him to replicate that, and he is projected to go slightly over-owned. Gabe Vincent is projected to be the most popular Miami player at $4,300 and 31% ownership. He played about 29 minutes last game with Tyler Herro and Victor Oladipo both sidelined. Kyle Lowry is projected for about one-fifth of the ownership, which doesn’t make a ton of sense since he played about 24 minutes last game and could certainly play more tonight.
Bam Adebayo also appears to be getting slept on, as he is only projected for 14% ownership. He has averaged just 29.5 minutes per game in the series, but there is no reason to think that he will not playing huge minutes tonight as long as 1) he avoids foul trouble and 2) the game isn’t a massive blowout. Kevin Love remained in the starting lineup last game and played 22 minutes. Max Strus and Duncan Robinson combined for about 48 minutes last game, yet they are both projected for only two% ownership on a slate starving for value. One of them is likely to end up paying off his salary at virtually no ownership.
There is not a ton to like from the Bucks. Khris Middleton is underpriced at $7,200, and Brook Lopez offers a high ceiling at low ownership in tournaments, as does Jrue Holiday, but neither is a top priority.
Golden State Warriors (-2) at Sacramento Kings
Jordan Poole started last game but moved back to the bench in the second half. Draymond Green should replace him in the starting lineup tonight, but he still offers upside at only $5,000 in a favorable matchup against the Kings. Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Kevon Looney and Green are all secondary options.
De’Aaron Fox is a huge question mark, as he said he is going to play and that his finger isn’t bothering him much when he shoots, but who knows if the latter is true. He has a massive ceiling, but there is some added risk tonight since he has the splint on his shooting hand. Domantas Sabonis has struggled in the series but still has enough talent to be a reasonable contrarian play in tournaments. The wing rotation is messy, as Keegan Murray finally played well last game and stole minutes from Kevin Huerter as a result. Some combination of Huerter, Harrison Barnes, Murray and Malik Monk is likely to have a big game, but they’re all expensive enough that there is risk to rostering them as well.
