NFL Advice for Jets-Browns, December 28 | Lineup Generator

The process kicks off by selecting three key options. First, pick your desired DFS slate between DraftKings Main, DraftKings Showdown, FanDuel Main and FanDuel Single Game.

In the second step, choose your ownership setting between all lineups, chalky, balanced or contrarian. I always opt for contrarian on showdown slates because sharing is not caring when it comes to winning at DFS. I want to be as unique as possible in this situation.

Lastly, on showdown slates you have this cool feature to select a game scenario. The generator provides you with the projected team totals giving you the option to select standard projections or to tease one or both teams up or down 6 points.

Today I selected DraftKings showdown, contrarian lineups and -6 projections, as I expect this to be a low-scoring game with two backup quarterbacks and two elite defenses. If you’re playing cash games like double-ups or three-mans, you could select chalky or balanced for slightly better projected lineups.

You will get some of the same players in all types of lineups. As long as you adjust the uniqueness based on the size and type of contest you’re playing, it’s all good.

After saving 20 lineups, the highest exposures I ended with were 80% David Njoku, 75% Jets defense and 70% Browns defense. Here’s a sample of a lineup that resulted from these selections.

This lineup projects for 70.08 points and an ownership projection of 182.3%. It includes Browns defense in the captain slot, Njoku and the Jets defense.

This lineup uses $45,500 of the available $50,000 and is a lineup I would use in a large-field GPP or low-dollar, single-entry tournament. Typically, I would not leave that much money on the table, but remember I selected -6 on the projections for both teams so this focuses on a lower scoring game. In addition, leaving money on the table is a great way to be different on showdown slates. The Lineup Generator also makes it easy to export your lineups to DraftKings.

Exposure for the 20 lineups I saved:

It’s important to note these exposures are based completely off my settings. As a reminder, you can change between lineup builds and save lineups along the way. In total, I had 20 lineups saved in less than five minutes. That’s what makes this such a great NFL DFS tool for newer players and players who don’t have enough time to research positive EV plays before lock. Even better, the projections update for you automatically, so you don’t need to worry about players getting ruled out last minute as long as you run the generator after the injury news goes public.
