Quarterback: Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
NFL Week 8 Projection: 20.07 DraftKings Points
Core Floor Price: $5.00
The Cowboys stand out in the Stokastic Top Stacks tool with the fifth-best odds of being the highest-scoring team on the slate. Despite playing in a good spot against the Rams, Dak Prescott has a cheap $5 core floor price on the Reignmakers secondary market. I think this is likely due to bias. Prescott hasn’t had the best fantasy results this season but this is largely due to blowouts. Of the Cowboys’ six games this season, five have been decided by a dozen or more points.
Running Back: Breece Hall, New York Jets
NFL Week 8 Projection: 14.90 DraftKings Points
Core Floor Price: $6.00
Breece Hall looks like he has a strong hold on the Jets’ backfield. Earlier in the season, he was limited as he was coming back from knee surgery. This is no longer an issue. Hall had 17 touches last week after getting 25 touches the week before. To make the situation even better for Hall, Dalvin Cook has requested a trade, which further solidifies Hall’s spot in the backfield.
Wide Receiver: Brandon Aiyuk, San Francisco 49ers
NFL Week 8 Projection: 18.63 DraftKings Points
Core Floor Price: $4.25
Deebo Samuel is expected to miss another game for the 49ers which should lead to more targets for Brandon Aiyuk. As is, Aiuyk is clearly the 49ers top receiver this year. He has over 500 receiving yards for the season, more than 200 more than Samuel who is second on the team in receiving yards. San Francisco also got a welcome surprise when Brock Purdy passed concussion protocol, allowing him to play on Sunday. Earlier in the week, Sam Darnold was expected to start at QB for the 49ers.
