OwnersBox NFL DFS Picks: Jets-Browns DFS Values for Thursday Night Football

OwnersBox NFL DFS is back for the Thursday Night Football showdown between the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns. There are several players under $5,000 popping as great values on this slate, so let’s break down the best OwnersBox NFL DFS value plays for Week 17 TNF.

OwnersBox NFL DFS Picks: Jets-Browns TNF DFS Values

David Njoku – $5,000

In a game full of tough matchups, Njoku has a pretty decent one. The Jets have given up the 12th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to tight ends over the past five weeks. Even better for Njoku is his connection with Joe Flacco since Flacco became the Browns’ starting quarterback in Week 13. In four games with Flacco, Njoku has been targeted 37 times, catching 24 of them for 256 yards and four touchdowns. Njoku’s projection of 12.15 fantasy points in Stokastic’s OwnersBox NFL DFS projections is the best value on the entire slate.

Elijah Moore – $4,600

With Amari Cooper (questionable) projected to play tonight, Moore is projected for 7.85 fantasy points, making him the seventh-best value on the slate. If Cooper is inactive Moore will be the top wide receiver for the Browns and an even better value. It’s a terrible matchup–the Jets have given up the fewest schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to wide receivers over the past five weeks — but again, that’s true of most of the matchups tonight. Moore’s role in the offense (75.8% route participation and 25 targets over the past four games) outweighs the matchup, especially if Cooper sits.

Kareem Hunt – $4,800

Another tough matchup. The Jets have given up the second-fewest schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to running backs over the past five weeks. But Hunt has 36 carries and seven targets over the past four games, and he’s the goal line back. With a projection of 6.91 fantasy points, Hunt is the ninth-best overall value on the slate.

Tyler Conklin – $4,400

The Browns have been a tight end funnel over the past five weeks. It’s the only position they have not been elite against, and they’ve given up the most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to the position over the period. Conklin is also second on the team in route participation over the past four games at 63.1%, and his 28 targets are also the second most on the team over that span. Conklin’s projection of 6.31 fantasy points is the 10th-best value on the slate.

Cedric Tillman – $3,800

Tillman is in play even if Cooper is active. Over the past four weeks, Tillman has been targeted 20 times on 72.0% route participation. If Cooper is inactive? Wheels up.
