Underdog NBA Fantasy Pick’em Predictions (October 31)
Isaac Okoro H/L 21.15 Fantasy Points
The Cavaliers will host the Knicks tonight in Cleveland as 3.5-point underdogs. Isaac Okoro has been a defensive specialist his first few years in the NBA averaging just 8.4 points per game on 6.3 field goal attempts. However, in his fourth season his offense may have caught up. Shooting 54% from the field on 8.7 field goal attempts in his first three games could be a sign of improvement. It could also just be opportunity as Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland have missed the last two games. Well, tonight he’ll have more of the same opportunity to succeed.
With Garland and Allen ruled out again, Okoro will get the start and is projected to play 32 minutes. We have Okoro projected for 23.2 fantasy points and that number could climb even higher with the news that just broke. As I write this, Donovan Mitchell was deamed questionable for tonight. If he were to also miss this game, Okoro’s ceiling jumps as there will be 33% usage to go around to the remaining Cavs players.
Best Underdog NBA Fantasy Play: Isaac Okoro Higher Than 21.15 Fantasy Points
Josh Hart H/L 6.5 Rebounds + Assists
The Cavaliers have allowed the second-most assists in the NBA at 29 per game. The Cavaliers and the Knicks are both shooting under 43% from the field while the Cavs rank 23rd in opponent rebounds per game. Hart is averaging 2.7 potential assists per game and is third on the Knicks with 10 rebound chances per game in just 22 minutes a game.
Stokastic’s Pick’Em Pro tool has Hart projected for 8.5 Rebounds + Assists for tonight’s game. If Donovan Mitchell ends up not playing tonight this game could get out of hand in favor of the Knicks allowing for plenty of stat opportunities for Hart. Even if Mitchell plays, I’m comfortable going higher with this one.
Best Underdog NBA Fantasy Play: Josh Hart Higher than 6.5 Rebounds + Assists
Zach Collins H/L 27.85 Fantasy Points
After battling injuries his first few seasons in the NBA, Collins is healthy and finds himself on an exciting, up-and-coming team lined up next to Victor Wembenyama in the front court. All of Collins’ stats project higher on Stokastic’s Pick’Em Pro tool than listed on Underdog.
The Spurs got blown out against the Clippers in their last contest where Collins only logged 24 minutes as most of the starters got benched for the entire fourth quarter. Before that, Collins played 32 minutes and 39 minutes in an overtime contest against Dallas. He’s projected for around 30 minutes tonight in a game the Spurs are 6.5-point underdogs. With the injuries to Phoenix, I think this game stays competitive allowing Collins to play closer to 33 minutes and giving him plenty of opportunities to cash in some fantasy points. Stokastic projections have Collins at 28.8 fantasy points for tonight.
