Jacksonville vs. New Orleans Showdown
New Orleans Defense — Defenses are the most consistent plays in preseason Showdown. Unlike normal skill players, they score points through an entire preseason contest, with much of that occurring against second- and third-string players. For this reason, they also have a ceiling and can be used in the Captain slot. New Orleans holds a slight edge over Jacksonville as a 4-point favorite. They also benefit from facing Trevor Lawrence, Gardner Minshew and C.J. Beathard.
Jacksonville Defense — Jacksonville enters this contest as a slight underdog. Buffalo will face slightly better quarterback play in Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill.
Aldrick Rosas — With Wil Lutz rehabbing an injury, the Saints added Rosas to handle the kicking duties throughout the rest of the preseason. With the higher implied team total, Rosas holds a slight edge among the kickers.
Josh Lambo — The only kicker on the Jacksonville roster, Lambo plays for the team with the slightly lower implied team total.
Tony Jones Jr. — New Orleans will play this game with four active running backs, compared to six on the Jacksonville side. Jones led the Saints in snaps with 23 and carried seven times for 82 yards and a touchdown. He also caught five passes for 38 yards. He is the top back on the slate. Jones is Awesemo’s highest projected player.
