76ers vs. Bucks MUST-BET NBA Player Props & Betting Picks Today | 2/17/22

As the NBA winds down ahead of All-Star Weekend, the Bucks are looking for their second straight win before a much-needed break. Milwaukee comes off a convincing win over the Pacers, led by 50-point night from Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks are relatively healthy outside of Grayson Allen dealing with a hip injury. New addition Serge Ibaka will come off the bench with Giannis back in the fold, as the Bucks will close out the week with their third straight game at home.

The 76ers are coming off one of their worst losses since they were tanking on purpose and are still without James Harden until next week. Joel Embiid did his part against Boston but that was it, as the loss was Philadelphia’s fourth in their last 10 games. They end the week in Milwaukee looking to bounce back, as the team is off until Feb. 25. Paul Millsap made his 76ers debut in Tuesday’s blowout loss to Boston and will play again tonight. No other 76ers player is on the injury report outside of Harden.

Bucks -6: -110 (BetRivers)

This will not be as bad as Tuesday night, but the 76ers are not going to turn anything around before James Harden debuts next week. Philadelphia was let down by a bunch of supporting cast members, while the Bucks are back to a deep and talented contender. Things will be different the next time these teams meet, as Harden will be on the 76ers, but tonight should be an easy path for the Bucks. The focus will be on Giannis versus Embiid and which superstar will shine the brightest, but Milwaukee’s Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday are too top heavy for the 76ers to defend. Tobias Harris has been so inconsistent that it is probably better to call Tyrese Maxey the second-best 76er until Harden arrives.

OddsShopper will provide the best return on any game, which makes it easier to attack an angle or advantage for one team. The Bucks have their shooters back and are taking on a 76ers team that is near the bottom of the league in most 3-point categories.

Bobby Portis Over .5 Blocks: +130 (DraftKings)

OddsShopper loves Portis tonight getting at least one block and found a great return at +130 at DraftKings. This is the top bet sorted by xROI on OddsShopper, with a 44% return plus a 63% chance of hitting. Awesemo’s projection has Portis finishing with a block, so it is a decent margin on a smaller stat market like blocks. Portis should have plenty of opportunities, as the 76ers are not 3-point shooters as much as they prefer slashing. It is also a yes/no prop, so Portis only needs to get a finger on the ball to alter a shot or slam a second-chance shot into the backboard. Without Andre Drummond, the 76ers lost some back-up height, so Portis should have his chances tonight.

The Latest Sports Betting Content from Stokastic Odds

Joel Embiid Under 12.5 Rebounds: -128 (FanDuel)

Embiid did not hit his total last game against Boston, but to be fair, not much hit in that game for the 76ers. Embiid has not been dominating the glass to the point where he is consistently over this number and has a tougher matchup with Giannis and Portis down low in Milwaukee. OddsShopper has a 24% xROI on this bet, the third highest for this game, and a 69% chance of staying under. Awesemo agrees with a projection of 11 rebounds for Embiid. He will certainly get close to this total but seems like a lone rebounder at times on the floor and may not even play his normal minutes.

Jrue Holiday Under 6.5 Assists: +116 (FanDuel)

OddsShopper has two sorting tools, xROI and xWin, that are key in determining where to play props in a certain game. Some xWin bets may be super high but have a ridiculous amount of juice, killing the xROI. The same can be reversed, with a high xROI being negated by a low xWin. The Holiday prop takes into account both of these but also how they match up against every other prop in this game. He stands the best chance of hitting at a 57% xWin, combined with a higher xROI at 20% on the play. Holiday has gone under this number in two of his last three games and three of seven this month. Awesemo’s projection has Holiday finishing just under this number at 6.3 assists, plus a strong return at +116 on FanDuel.
